    Oga's Cantina

I had a 3:15 PM reservation on 8/31 for 2 - checked in 15-20 minutes early, didn't get our "standing spot" until 3:30. Took another 20 Minutes to get our beverages, asked for the check then and cleared out. The family we shared the table with we held to the 45 minute rule. I am glad we did...

Checking out of hotel, but going to parks...question about hotel parking

Done this many times. Unless the policy has changed, you just keep your room key after checkout and swipe it at the parking lot gate to exit. I think they charge you for parking on checkout day anyway, so you might as well stay in the lot as long as you like. Having said this, I would still...

Traditional Mexican Food (you know, tacos)?

Maya Grill has some pretty good fijita dishes as well as some tex mex like apps. Pepper Market serves some tex mex meals as well. Both restaurants are located at Coronado Springs resort.

Palm Pkwy/535 fast food, pizza and Winn-D: normal prices? Or tourist?

I have shopped at the Winn Dixie and the prices were comparable to Publix for the most part. The other nice thing about the Winn Dixie on 535 is the ABC store right in the same shopping center. One stop shopping for food, beer, wine and booze!

    RPR tower suggestion please.

Usually stay Tower One, First floor (ground / pool level). The ceilings are a lot higher in the first floor rooms, giving the rooms a larger feel.

If your husband likes beer (or yourself ) and a good variety of it, Yard House recently opened up the road at I-Drive 360.

    Wantilan Luau - Worth it?

I've done both - Disney's Luau is more "kid centric", with some story told by a character named Aunt Winni, or Aunt someone, I can't remember, but I got bored with the story fast - great for little kids I suppose. After the story telling was done, the performers were very good. I remember the...

    New VIP Tours

So let me get this straight, WDW wants $300 for essentially 10 fastpasses (for the thrill ride experience ) to key attractions at 3 parks and they throw in lunch to boot, but I need valid park hopper tickets on top of the $300. Over at UO, it will cost me $190 for park to park tickets +...

Cabana Bay Tower rooms/suites & lazy river open. Anyone have a report?

I am curious as to see what the official policy is now as well. Someone has posted on another web site at the tubes are for purchase only, there are no tubes for rent. You may bring your own flotation device, purchase one, or use the lazy river without any flotation device. I would like to...

    Forbidden Journey-OMG motion sickness

I have occasionally felt a little queasy after riding FJ, even after having Dramamine in my system. I found a trick that has worked the last few times I have ridden FJ - I focus on the middle of the screens during the screen sequences, no matter how much my eyes want to wander, If I stay...

Finnegan's in Studio's participated in the "AP special discount" from 4:00 to 7:00 PM I believe when we were there 10/20 to 10/23, this was for AP's only. Various beer on tap were 4-5 dollars, one shot well drinks 4 dollars and 2 shot well drinks 6 dollars. What we observed during our trip...

    RPR room TV's

Connected xbox 360 many times using HD component cable (5-plug) and last xmas connected a bluray player via HDMI cable as well. The TV sits on top of the dresser and you should have full access to the back of the TV. I do remember staying in the kid's suite once, it was a bit more challenging...

    Summer discount rates are out

Just booked PBH Bay view room for July 19-23 with APH rate. July 19,20 - $269 night July 21,22 - $249 night I was originally booked at RPR on a AAA rate for the same days, but the APH rate at PBH turned out to be a better deal. I called universal to make these changes. Now I may...

    Maya Grill?? Anybody??

Ate at the Pepper Market about a year ago and enjoyed it very much. Checked out the Maya Grill while we were there and decided we would give it a try on our next visit to WDW. We have a adr scheduled for our upcoming trip this July. Why not keep your adr and give it a try?

    can't decide...Poly or BC

My experience with our teen son and his friends, an Epcot area resort is a good choice. So much is accessible by walking, Epcot, MGM (sorry! I will forever call it that), Boardwalk area with ESPN club and even Swan and Dolphin for additional dining options and Fantasia Gardens mini-golf as well.

    Simpsons Ride = Motion Sickness?

I take the less drowsy formula of Dramamine, and the only ride between WDW and UO that makes me queasy is the Simpsons (not counting spinning rides!). Tried again a couple weeks ago this past May, and the same results. Unfortunately I am done with the Simpson's ride.

    Which resort(s) would be best?

My vote is to stay as many nights as possible at BC, either 2 nights POP/5 nights BC or 6 nights BC. Your kids are going to love SAB, the ability to walk to 2 parks, the multiple dining options available in the Epcot resort area makes it a great place to stay.
