This time of year we are in our dry season until the middle of June. With the problems we have with wild fires and drought the rain now falling is a true blessing for us to receive. It looks like the weather will improve by the end of this weekend and then back to normal.

A big improvement but I was a little disappointed it is a two-step process with the card and finger swipe. They could improve the entry speed more by getting rid of the finger wipe somehow.

To use the new entry gates do you have to turn in your current ticket for a new ticket that will work to gain entry to the park?

This should be a big clue....blackout dates for seasonal passholders start on Dec 20th and run thru Jan 1st. If you don't like big crowds I would avoid those dates.

Both parks are must see for the Christmas entertainment they provide. You can't pick a day because of schools being closed so just go and there are a lot of visitors that time of year. You might want to check out BG's web site. They are having new this year a separate ticket night time...
