    EE going backwards question

Well, I wouldn't say you can compare EE to BTMR really. EE definitely takes things up a notch or two, but it's a fantastic ride. And by coaster standards, it is still considered 'tame' and family-oriented. That said, the backwards part probably lasts a good 20 seconds and it is in total...

What are Some Good Off-site Restaurants?

Cheesecake Factory at the Millenium Mall - about 20 minutes off property by car. Chevy's for Mexican - not too far off property either.

What's so great about the POP food court?

The Pop Century food court has a wide variety of food choices and is bigger than most food courts. It's almost always well stocked - great hours - and most of the cashiers are open at all times. The are several food stations as well as a self-serve cooler area. Great choices for kids...

    OT - What to Do???

Oops, forgot I was on the Canadian board here....we have also always 'purchased' our Universal tickets by using our AIR MILES. If you are a collector, it's worth watching the AIR MILES site (if you collect) for the 'deals of the week' on theme parks. We get the unlimited 7 day pass for just...

    OT - What to Do???

Another vote for Universal (US and IOA)!!! :thumbsup2 We always do Disney everytime we go to Florida, but have recently started adding Universal and LOVE it in a very different way then Disney. Our trip is now not complete unless it includes both. Staying onsite does give you the...

    Dilemma

You absolutely need the notarized letter (and I recommend using the version from the passport canada website). It would be far worse to reach the border and be turned away because you don't have it - even though it is rarely asked for. And if you tried it, without his consent - it could turn...

    Teva Sandals/Flip Flops

Does anyone know if Teva's are sold in Canada at all? I keep reading about people who rave about their Teva Mush Flip Flops, and can't seem to find them in any stores around home. Ordering online looks like only possible if shipping from the U.S. Thanks!

    Souvenirs for Pets

We have found and purchased dog toys at both the downtown Disney main gift shop (everything disney I think it's called?) and also at the large Epcot gift shop not far from the main entrance. We've found kong-type chew toys in both locations, a mickey shaped pull/tug toy, and various mickey...

Just back from a week at WDW...a few thoughts...

Your Sunday plan indicated visiting other resorts - which ones did you visit and what were your thoughts on them? This is something we've never had time for and have always wanted to pick a few to visit (we've stayed at AKL and Pop, so that's all we've seen). Thanks!

    Candy around the World

-Haribo Gummy Bears - Germany (the original bears in the gold package) - it's a must have item for us. -If you like original old-fashioned salty licorice, Germany also has the good stuff. - Dairy Milk Chocolate Drops (or bar) in UK

    Looking for Tevas!?

Somewhat related...does anyone know (fellow canadians perhaps?) if you can get Teva's in Canada, and if so where? Ordering online would mean paying duty and shipping.

Here now and our feet are killing us!

If you are inclined to spend more money and buy some, and since you have a car - you could try the Prime Outlets on International Drive - there is both a Nike outlet and a Skechers outlet there. Both have decent chunkier flip flops - cushioned, supportive kind for not bad prices. I wear the...

    Zebra Domes

What are Zebra Domes? Realize it's some kind of dessert - but can anyone describe it and what you like about it? Does it have the same cult following as Dole Whips, Strawberry Shortcake and Kona Kones? Can you get it anywhere except at AKL?

Ohanas-to give some one a taste of Disney?

If I may ask another question on something that's been mentioned here...when you request a window seat (Ohana) - when do you do it...ahead of time or when you arrive? We are trying Ohana for the first time as well.

    DINOSAUR at AKP??

Ditto to all the other comments. Loud, dark, bumpy, jerky, scary, and loud...did I mention loud? We took our kids on it when they were 7 and 8 - they hated it and we've never been back on it since. They are now 12 and 13 and still don't want to return to it. I remember holding on to the kids...

Planet Hollywood - we have an ADR here, is that a bad thing?

Thanks everyone...took the majority rule advice and decide to scrap PH. Going to do DTD a different night instead now. Managed to get a late ADR at O'Hana's instead...woohoo!

    Downtown Disney

Does anyone know how to find out when DTD closes at night? Guessing it's different at different times of the year...we figured usually 10 or 11pm, but is there someplace to verify that (what time most of the shops close) based on when you are going? Thanks! :confused3

Planet Hollywood - we have an ADR here, is that a bad thing?

Wow...this is great info everyone - thanks! I wonder with them being so busy (our ADR is 7:45pm), if the allergy issue could be a problem - too busy in the kitchen to focus on preparing something special that isn't risky for cross-contamination. Anyone with food allergies eaten here...
