Trip report: Egypt: Ancient Wonders and the Legendary Nile, National Geographic, October 26-November 5, 2023, Complete.

Great trip report! The group travel has always been a concern mine but I don't think there is any other safe way to see Egypt. The fact that you can't leave your hotel without an armed body guard tells me I just don't need to see Egypt that much when there are so many other places to visit.

Official 2023 Halloween Horror Nights 32 (Orlando)

Help anyone? My daughter lives in Orlando and her and a friend bought tickets for this Friday. NONE of us have ever been and have no idea how to attack this. So if anyone has an idea for a plan I would be grateful. She works till 5:00pm no early entry or express

Just got a lengthy Annual Passholder email survey

Maybe they are thinking if/when the recession hits and with gas prices they will need their local guests/AP holders again.

Is Chapek a Comcast Plant for Acquisition?

Staggs wanted it, he was passed over. Many think due to the fact they invest several billion on magic bands and infastructure to support them without ny real ROI>

Just a nurse here without an MBA but if I remember correctly didn't Comcast try a hostile takeover of Disney in the 90's

This could help staffing issues at WDW - follow Dollywood’s lead!

Hourly at Disney get 100% tuition from the Aspire program and it doesn't need to be paid back if you leave Disney. Salaried get $700/credit and needs to be paid back if you leave before 2 years.

Disney is a crazy to launch Genie+ During the 50th

Actually it's not far off how much some of the PI's do, which explains how some bad decisions are made.

What will Disney let you pay for next?

I hate to say it but I 100% agree this is the future and will be tied into having an onsite reservation as well. You can only purchase park plus as an onsite guest, giving an incentive to stay onsite. They have no concern for capacity with this model but only how to increase the bottom line...

Once in a lifetime big family trip planning help.

As far as the scooter goes....If Grandma is less then 200lbs get the "smalller scooter" . Even though it can be broken down it's a PIA. 2 adults can lift it into a SUV or minivan. We have rented for years from walker and they have been great First make sure Grandma has the witts to deal with...

What will Disney let you pay for next?

But not all companies pass their costs on to the consumer. They look at their brand value and Disney's is now "a evil corporation" Vs. Nostalgia and value. I am done with their mitigation, they can make it up on someone else. It will be quite the case study. Disney limiting attendance and...

What will Disney let you pay for next?

Resort fee is coming no doubt, to "align" with other hotel chains. Then right after they will have lightening lane for onsite only, unless they can charge offsite hotels to be a "good neighbor".

Recent & Rumored Changes Turning Me Off

I have been on these boards for over 20 years and have read and authored countless threads with the same sentiment. Everytime I think there is no way guests are going to tolerate this price change/loss of parades/fireworks/parking fees/etc the Disney Company comes back stronger. Whcih proves I...

Cape May Dinner - $71 if you want crab legs!?

I "think" they are trying to deal with shortages and increased cost but what happens when demand levels out again? We also were a family that went for the crab legs. My youngest grew up eating her weight in crab legs here. She is 18 now and when I told her the changes her response was "f**k...

Cruise and Theme Park Operational Updates due to Coronavirus

I did the parks in August when it was surface of the sun hot. Wearing a cloth mask was brutal but the paper surgical masks were a breeze to wear.

Cruise and Theme Park Operational Updates due to Coronavirus

Actually I don't think the rumor is false. The additional 4,000 were to hit by March so Disney will have to "WARN" 60 days ahead which would be for a January date.

    Layoff part 2?

Corporate McDs is a different animal then the francises. I believe if you work at a coprorate Macs their minimum is 10/hour. The franchises pay what they want. My DD worked at Macs in high school. It gave her a whole new look on the world. She was one of the few from the area that worked...
