    Mass shooting in Canada

We are losing our rights! I will say your attitude is very refreshing. It is nice to see someone who admits they aren’t knowledgeable, but are nonetheless willing to learn. It has been announced that there will be a legal challenge involving charter rights. I don’t know the details yet.

Yes, that part is problematic as well(not to mention unfair!).

    Mass shooting in Canada

At least you are open to new info! I do find you cannot rely on the news/internet, etc. You still need to do your own research about a lot of the headlines/trends today. They banned a bunch of guns that previously could only be legally shot at an approved shooting range. You had to jump...

    Mass shooting in Canada

These new laws will do nothing to deter a criminal from committing a crime. Actual assault weapons have been prohibited in Canada since 1979. These new laws may unfortunately raise the black market values of these rifles, which will likely increase the illegal importation of them. Trudeau...

    Vegas and ????

I love Red Rock Canyon! In comparison Joshua Tree NP was underwhelming. Lake Havasu looks interesting! Seems to be lots of good hiking and gorgeous sights in Arizona.

    Mass shooting in Toronto?

Please don’t talk about ‘gun culture’. It isn’t a cult, and I am not a gangster. It is a hobby, and I am a law-abiding citizen. On this we agree.

    Mass shooting in Toronto?

I don’t blame the gun, or the country from which the gun originated. Both the US and Canada have deeper issues.

    Mass shooting in Toronto?

All legally owned handguns in Canada are registered. The police would know from who the gun was stolen.

    Mass shooting in Toronto?

It would be very risky/incredibly stupid for a Canadian dealer to sell to unlicensed individuals. The serial numbers could be very easily traced. I would think most of the illegal guns are stolen/smuggled.

    Mass shooting in Toronto?

Is there any truth in journalism today? The authors seem more interested in hot topics. From the perspective of the legal Canadian firearms owner, you would be incredibly stupid to sell your guns to an unlicensed individual.

    Venetian/Palazzo, but not mid-Strip.

    Mass shooting in Toronto?

As I have said before, I am a female Canadian legal firearms enthusiast. I happen to love both Canada and the United States. I’d be happy to answer any questions in regards to Canadian firearms laws. There are some Canadian posters here who would have you believe everything here in Canada is...

    WWYD? Update!

Having lived through a family member being diagnosed with terminal cancer(although the survival predicted was not that short), I’d never want someone to suffer. I’d prefer my emotional suffering over seeing a loved one suffer physically/mentally/emotionally.

Would you get second opinion? (ENT / allergies)

This has been a particularly severe allergy season here. I haven’t been able to smell or taste much for two months now. I have been to two allergy specialists(MDs). Both times all allergens developed ‘bumps’. Both times I was told I showed no allergies. The last time the doctor told me that...

Changes you've made to make life easier

I appreciate all the good tips everyone—thanks! I haven’t seen this mentioned(my apologies if it has already been mentioned)so I thought I would add on a general note that we stopped exchanging gifts with everyone but the kids in the family. It might be hard for some, but there are many...

    Vehicle comfortable for 7 adults?

The Sequoia is in desperate need of an update. It does not seem to do well in the comparos.

    Vehicle comfortable for 7 adults?

What if we go back to late ‘80’s? I’d swear the newer versions are narrower inside! The front seats also seem to have gotten narrower. I do wish you had the option to remove the third row seats as you could in my Suburban. The cargo area in my ‘18 Expedition Max is smaller(certainly as far...

    Vehicle comfortable for 7 adults?

Have you ever had one? They have made the inside dimensions smaller each time the vehicle has had a redo. As far as the minivan comment, I was referring to the curving dash and the flip and fold seats.

    Vehicle comfortable for 7 adults?

The Expedition/Navigator have actually been extensively reworked for model year 2018. I believe there is a new rendition of the Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/Yukon XL coming in the not too distant future. I previously had a 2010 Suburban LTZ. I have had a 2018 Expedition Max for a month and a half—I...

Anyone Else Have a Controlling Sibling? - Resolved Post 216

Make no mistake, you are all being controlled. Neither your mother or your brother will stand up. The only one who can stand up for you is you. I am sure your sister will do whatever she pleases regardless of what anyone else thinks. I think you are doing the right thing. It won’t be easy...
