Anyone else gone from The Disboards for a long time and come back? Like me?

I got busy when the baby in my profile picture was born back in 2009. Then, I went back to work in 2010, those bigger kids in the picture started middle school and high school and life got crazy! I came back when my first trip back to WDW in 9 years (and my youngest's first trip ever) was coming...

    October 2015!!

October 2-9 for us! We haven't been in so long that I think I was afraid to jinx things by talking too much about the trip. But with ADRs and FP+ reserved, it is starting to feel real now. This is also my first DISboards post in years!

That IS sad. And as I read through most of this I wondered if somehow we didn't have the same in-laws. There is a nosy man at church who thinks it's HIS duty to check all the empty rooms while church is going on and make sure everyone is in the chapel. He walks in on me nursing...

I'm glad the babies are hanging in there! I had to LOL at the peanut butter, even though I know they shouldn't have it. It reminded me of when I found my 2 year-old feeding his 7 month-old sister a frosted Pop Tart. "But Mommy! Hers reawwy wiked it!" ("really liked it!") They are still...

And that's when they call you from the cell phone you swore you would never buy for them, but did because middle school is a scary place and you wanted them to be able to reach you whenever they needed; and tell you not to pick them up from school because they have a drama club meeting to go to...

Absolutely! While I hate being hugely pregnant and past my due date, I have always been very thankful that none of my babies had to come so early either. A good friend of mine had triplets three years ago at about the same gestational age and about the same weights. They are all three healthy...

I use one and I dress her in regular pj's with it. Our room can get chilly at night.

I don't have one, but it was always my job to run the coffee table at our annual fancy fundraiser at work and we always used a Keurig for it. We don't drink coffee, so it would be wasted $$ for us to buy one; but if we did drink it I would definitely want one.

Exactly. Those decisions should really be left up to the us. Not the doctor, not our families, not our friends/co-workers, and certainly not the nosy people at the grocery store who say "I can't believe she's an only child. " OR "Don't you know what causes that?" interchangeably depending on...

What annoys me is that now people in public places (stores, the kids' school, etc...) now feel like they get to tell me "5 is too many" just because they see me there and count all the 'mini-me's' following me. (My kids all look so much like each other AND me that there's no question who they...

My SIL and DH's favorite aunt are visiting which means we will be with his family for most of Thanksgiving Day. And that means I will have to answer the "NOW will you get your tubes tied?!" question at least three times (once from his step-mom and each step-sister). I've told them many times...

I'm so sorry. And I agree with the question. Whatever you decide, we're here for you. And I never felt judged about co-sleeping. I wasn't even sure I was going to do it this time because Alexis turned out to be such a tiny thing that it made me nervous. Now that she has filled out, can...

My mom is OK for the first few months that I nurse, then the closer we get to the first birthday; the more she starts asking if I'm EVER going to quit. (And since 18 months is the longest I've nursed any of them, it kind of makes me laugh.) She's pretty much given up arguing anything with me at...

We co-sleep and breastfeed. We do some babywearing. I guess I'm a little crunchy since I discovered cloth diapers, but I really think that has more to do with my inner cheapskate. ;) I think I'm pretty tough to give one particular label be it my politics or my parenting philosophies...

Yes they are. My bad epidural was with my second child and I went on to have successful epidurals with the other three kids.

Disney Ron-I'm so glad you found the vaccine! Adi-My oldest DD aspirated meconium while she was being born. I'll spare you the long horror story and say that you definitely did the right thing going with the c-section. I would up back in the ER and then the L&D floor with spinal headaches...
