    Box fan

My fiancée must have a box fan to sleep. We will have a rental car, so it seems like the easiest thing to do is buy one on the way. We are driving straight from the airport to TTC. Our flight got pushed back, so we won't have time to stop at our resort. Where would be the best place to stop...

    Won't wear shoes

Heading to WDW at the beginning of June. I've got experience with DAS with my son, but on this trip I will also have my fiancée's daughter with cerebral palsy. She uses a wheelchair and DOES NOT like shoes. Will that be a problem? She has to be picked up to be put in any ride vehicles so she...

    June 2021

We are booked for the last week of June. Between us, my fiancée (17F, 15M, 5F, 5F, and 5F) and I (15M and 4F) have seven children. My children and I have been several times. My fiancée went when she was 12, and her kids have never been. The plan was to take the three teenagers this time so they...

    (2014-2020) Disney's GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA + VILLAS Information & Questions

We are down to 28 days! I feel the same way. I did switch up a dining reservation tonight for our arrival day. We were going to eat at Disney Springs because we were originally staying at SSR. Since we are at VGF now, I got a reservation for Narcoossee’s. We’ve never eaten there, so we’re are...

    DDP Tipping

We are veteran Disney travelers, but our upcoming May/June trip is the first time we have ever gotten the DDP. It has never been financially worth us for it before. When they added the alcoholic drinks, it made it marginally cheaper than if we didn’t get it, so we decided to give it a try. I...

    Official May 2018

We are arriving on May 31 and leaving on June 4. It’ll be a kid free trip for my wife and me to celebrate my birthday and an early celebration for our anniversary. Don’t worry, we’ll be back with the kids in October. We are staying at CSR. It’s our first time staying there, but I’ve heard...

    ***Official December 2017 thread!

Not nearly that long! We leave on the 19th from SC. It’s about a 7.5 hr drive for us, not including stops. We’ll have our 11 month-old with us, so we hope it goes smoothly.

    Teenager with Down syndrome

He's on Medicaid TEFRA (Katie Beckett Waiver) and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I'll talk to his developmental pediatrician about the likelihood it would get approved. Thanks again!

    Teenager with Down syndrome

Thank you! I think we'll definitely have to go this route. I know my wife really wants him to be able to walk around the parks freely, but I just don't see that happening. Perhaps after he gets through puberty he'll be more cooperative. At nearly 100 lbs, I can no longer easily pick him up if...

    Teenager with Down syndrome

Thank you! I wasn't familiar with those. We will look into them and talk to our doctor about getting approved through insurance.

    Teenager with Down syndrome

I have an 11 year old son with Down syndrome. We usually got to WDW every year. As he's grown out of strollers, we have switched to the Liberty Push Chair, which has worked great. Our trip this December will be the last time he can use it, though. It has a max weight of 100 lbs and he's getting...

    ***Official December 2017 thread!

Yes, we went to WDW in December of 2010. It was brutally cold for central FL. Temperatures were in the 30s and 40s most of the week. It was my 4 year old son's first trip, and with the wind there were a couple of days he didn't make it to the park.

    Fastpasses w/Annual Passes

I apologize if this has been answered before, I couldn't find it. We are new DVC owners and will be using our points for a stay for the first time in December at AKL. We are going to be buying the Platinum Plus Annual Passes, but I don't want to activate them until our trip in December. Will I...

Not sure I'll survive the shock......

I've been waiting for the same thing for late December. It doesn't seem like they'll ever release them.

What's your WDW secret? Tips, Tricks, Best Practices, etc.

This isn't really a "secret," but we always get groceries delivered to our room on our arrival day. We do this even if we are staying in a standard room. We get snacks for the evening, easy stuff to eat for breakfast, and enough water to last our stay. It always ends up saving us a good bit of...

Skipper Canteen or LTT??? Help :)

I've eaten at both. LTT is great, but I LOVED Skipper Canteen. Both times I've eaten there, the CMs have been great, and I love the decor. I'm a sucker for anything involving the S.E.A., though.
