We stayed at the Dolphin this July, 2004 for 3 nights. We had paid $69 through Priceline, so wasn't expecting much if anything...
We asked very nicely at the front desk if we could have a balcony and they obliged if we were willing to wait about an hour for it. We did, and certainly...
Glad to see some of you do other trips other than Disney..... I guess I am wowed that people actually have the time and resources to do a Disney trip which I find as very expensive anyway and able to travel extensively elsewhere all in the same year.
Because if you stay at a moderate or...
Once I started visiting these forums I found it very odd that people would come repeatedly back to DisneyWorld year after year after year....? I have been there three times in 30 years and that seems more than enough for me..
I was just curious why people do this? Why not try other...
Of course with Priceline you are not sure of which hotel, just what level. Since I only bid for Resort level hotels you are sure to get something that would be reasonably nice.
The other resort choices that have come up are the Gaylord Palms WDW Hilton, Swan, etc. Check...
We did the Priceline route this summer and received the Dolphin for $69! July 21-24, 2004. On top of that, when we arrived we nicely requested a balcony and they obliged if we were willing to wait until it was cleaned...... just an hour later we had a great balcony room overlooking the Swan...
We just returned from 3 days at the Dolphin and I think for the price you can get compared to other "Disney" resorts you can't go wrong. It is newly remodeled has a large pool recreation area along with the Swan and is clean, beautiful and a great place to relax.
If I had a complaint is...
The one water slide that I know of is on the Dolphin side of the water/pool areas at the resorts.... This slide on a scale of 1-10 would be a 2 or 3. It is not large or significant. Nothing wrong with it, but more of a kiddie slide than anything about 5 second slide into the swimming pool.
There is really no way on Priceline to choose a hotel, you can only choose a level of hotel, which the Dolphin and Swan are resorts which there are about 5 or 6 that normally come up when you bid the WDW area and choose resorts on Priceline. Among those are the Gaylord Palms, Wyndham Palace...
Will be staying at the Dolphin July 21-24, for three nights. Just wondering what other members of this board have gotten for rooms if they happened to get the Dolphin through Priceline?
Of course the rate was awesome, just $69 a night, so not expecting my pick of rooms, but wondering what...
Ok, new to this board and there are a heck of alot of acronyms here that I am not sure what in the world anyone is talking about. We are thinking of getting reservations at the California Grill for a July evening this summer 2004. What time is best to see the fireworks and Wishes? (what is...
We received a Priceline bid for the Dolphin this summer, I do have Starwood points and was wondering if anyone had been able to use Starwood points to upgrade their Priceline reservation, and how to go about that?
THanks!
We just obtained at $69.00 a night rate for July 21-24, 2004 using Priceline. They gave us the Dolphin, I am sure this will be a standard run of the house room!
We obtained 3 nights at the Dolphin in July this summer through Priceline at $69.00 a night. I would like to upgrade to a Junior Suite, is this possible? and at what rate would be charge for the upgrade?
