    Birthday Cake

I agree with you. The birthday cake leaves much to be desired. We ordered the birthday stateroom celebration decorations (which included a cake) hoping that cake would be better than the one brought to the table at dinner. It wasn't much better. Sorry.

Having sailed nothing other than DCL (6 times no less!), I will be on RC in December. Just wondering if anyone makes door signs when cruising on other cruise lines? By the way, I'm afraid I'm going to have Disney withdrawls!!

Packing list for 3 night cruise

We did a 4 night cruise in March a couple of years ago. I was certain that we would need jackets especially at night. Wrong!! It was warm and we didn't need a jacket not even once. However, I will agree that the water at CC was too chilly for me. The kids swam and didn't seem to mind it...

    Quick question about dinner rotation

Let me just throw this in. I've been on 5 Disney cruises and every time, I've requested a specific dining rotation. Not once have I ever been granted my wish!! I have our 6th cruise booked for March and I've got my fingers crossed that THIS will be the cruise where my dining rotation request...

    breakfast and lunch

There's a great website at www.castawayclub.com Click on menus and food. You should be able to see breakfast menus from Triton's and also a lunch menu at Triton's. I personally like eating at Parrot Cay for breakfast. It's buffet and they offer just about everything you could possibly...

Dinner Attire on 4 days cruises

having been on 5 Disney cruises, I can assure you that a cruise is like going to the beach. You will see people dressed from one extreme to the other. Most people fall in the middle but there are those on every cruise who either dress to the nines or dress like they are ready to work in the...

what's changed in the last 5 years?

My twin 8 year olds and husband did the stingray encounter at CC last Jan. It was the highlight of their trip (I stayed up on the beach so that I could take pictures). They were able to feed the stingrays and then swim the remainder of the time with them. My DD still talks about it!

    Dinner at Palo....recommendations?

The gelato was to die for! The first night our server brought me a mango/passion gelato and the second night he brought me a lemon. The mango/passion one was my favorite. My husband says the filet is the best he's ever had. I also like the grilled mushroom.

    Birthday Celebration

Can anyone out there describe the cake that is included with the DCL stateroom birthday celebration? If it's anything like the free cake they bring out at dinner, I'm not intersted. Thanks!

    Birthday Celebration

Would you please describe the cake in detail? I don't care for the ones they bring you in the dining rooms. It's more of a sponge cake/mousse cake rather than a traditional birthday cake. I'm hoping if I order the stateroom celebration cake, it will be more of the traditional cake.

Do walkie/talkies, etc work on board?

I will definately be bringing them on our March cruise! We brought them on a 7 night cruise back in 2004. We really didn't use them enough to bother ever bringing them again on future cruises but after this idiot on the New Year's cruise, we'll definately pack them again.

RCI Agrees to Pay $1 Million in Missing Honeymooner Case

Did anyone see the wife and the RCCL CEO on Oprah quite a while back? There were so many holes in the wife's story. It just didn't add up. She might not have been directly involved with Mr. Smith's unfortunate death, but she appeared to be covering up something that happened that night...
