I was really disappointed to see this news. It feels like all the perks of being a resort guest have slowly been taken away and now I am not so sure the inflated price is worth it to us. Unfortunately, unless people actually stop staying there, which we all know won't happen, these type of...
Exactly my thought. I don't friend sketchy people that I think might break into my house. People need to be more discerning about their friends list apparently.
Yesterday I booked an offsite hotel for a quick getaway this fall. I never thought I would be saying that. They started to lose me with the early ADR's and Fastpasses for non resort guests and then the final straw was the parking fees. For years I have watched the crowds get larger, people...
Does anyone know if there are any vegetarian entree options at Whispering Canyon Cafe besides the red quinoa cakes? We are headed there for lunch and the quinoa wasn't really thrilling my dd. I suppose she could omit the meats from a salad but that option gets old......
We won’t stay at hotels that charge a resort fee or parking fees. I find it an offensive practice. Disney will be no different. We get free parking at the parks with the AP and my $400 a night will get me a much ritzier hotel offsite.
Day 4 started out promising…
We had to wake up super early because today was the day that we had our “Undiscovered Future World” tour scheduled. I love doing early morning tours because it is so nice to be able to go into the parks before they open. Since Epcot is our favorite, we figured...
The Uber to Contemporary is a great idea! Thanks for the tip. Definitely going to give this a try when we return in June. We saw the Minnie vans tooling around. They were super cute. Really, the busses are the easiest option but I hate having someone crop dusting my face when it’s standing room...
And so begins day 3……
Today we started out with a late breakfast at the Whispering Canyon Café. We had eaten here on previous trips for dinner but this was the first time trying out breakfast. The atmosphere was a little bit more laid back than the dinnertime chaos. Our server only gave me...
Day 2: The Transportation Debacle
Our second day started at a relaxing and slow pace. We enjoyed some time watching the animals from our balcony. There always seemed to be 2-3 giraffe and a whole herd of deer with an occasional wildebeest and zebra thrown in the mix. We headed down to the...
We were there the same dates! I just started my TR on the other thread. We had the same issues with not getting to-go cups in our room beyond the first day. I had to call housekeeping and have some brought up. Other than that, our Mousekeeper was excellent. Restocked our toiletries and TP...
Greetings, all! Here is my TR for our latest trip... It was our 20th visit to Disney! We first went there on our honeymoon in 1994.
Your cast of characters are:
Myself: celebrating my 45th birthday
The Husband: 47. Loves Disney as much as I do!
And we are off.....
Day 1: After a long day...
I usually end up eyeballing everyone looking for coughing people and praying they don’t sit next to me. this trip is just me and hubby so it leaves an open spot in our row. I bought masks. If someone near us is coughing I will put it on. Or maybe hand one to them. lol! I also bought the saline...
Flying down tomorrow morning and wondering what tips people have for staying healthy in an airplane. This flu has got me pretty freaked out.
My tip is bringing chlorox wipes on the plane and wiping down all surfaces. I get some weird looks but whatever. lol
With the exception of an early character breakfast or tour....We let ourselves sleep until we naturally wake up, have a leisurely coffee, get dressed and then start our day. Our kid is an adult so it’s often just us. After so many trips, we just don’t feel the need to rush around or get in every...
Thanks to you both! That helps a lot. I appreciate it. Usually I will send my husband to test a ride first but the wait time for fop is just too long to do that.
Greetings everyone! Can someone give me an idea of how herky jerky fop is? I have herniated discs in my neck (roller coaster injury) and have to be careful on anything too jerky or high speed. I do fine on Star Tours. Is it worse than that? How I miss being able to ride coasters
