My little wizard is getting the trip of his life.

As usual, the Disboards rock (and not just for Disney). Thank you for your responses. We will be going the first week in June - hopefully before it gets too summer crazy. ;)

My little wizard is getting the trip of his life.

My 10-year-old wizard had a rough year (his father and I splitting, changes galore, etc.) and has found quite a bit of solace in reading the HP series. He owns wands, knows the spells by heart and adores the books. His 8 year old brother is along for the ride. So, I'm hoping to swing a trip...

Typically busy rides you actually walked right on to?

We were in Disney a few days after 9/11 (our plans to go overseas were cancelled, so we hopped in a car to see the 'new' animal kingdom lodge). It was a GHOSTTOWN. 9/11 happened on a Tuesday and the following Monday we arrived at AKL to a very happy and bored staff. Until Thursday or Friday...

    Car- What would you do?

From an outsider's perspective, IMO I don't see what needing 4 new tires and a new car have in common :confused3 Tires are upkeep, another car is a whole new host of possible expenses including car payment, insurance, etc. If you are saving, stick with the Honda. 84k really isn't much at all.;)

    A question for Gazelle's???

We had to make some goals along the way. We opted to slow down BS2 in order to have a bit of a life (I was working 2 jobs - 1 4 days a week and the other a 40-hour...when we got caught up an a bit paid down (1/2 way through) we slowed my 2nd job schedule to 2 days). Paying off things helped...

    SWW Strategy question....please?

We will be attending SWW on Sun, the 23rd and possibly Friday the 28th. I have two sons (5 & 7 years of age) who would like to attempt both marching in the parade AND JTA. If we tried to do both of these things at RD....do we 'require' both boys to do so (ie: can I sign them up for the...

    Disney dining options...on a MAP?

Does this exist? I would love a map of where different restaurants are located. This is because being on the QS dining plan, I would like to know where 'nearby' food locations are since in some spots, I would like the Adult choices, but the child's choices are limited (so we can hop on over...

    Resting during the day

rather than a 'break', we consider it quiet time. Would you believe even my 7 year old tends to nap from time to time STILL (and sometimes falls asleep on the way to after school despite having 10 hours of sleep!)? And, my five year old still actively naps. So since they stay up later on...

    Losing sleep for Disney

My thoughts (I have a two boys: 7 and a just-turned-5-year-old boy) for OUR trip is to 'plan' a crash and burn for my entire family:lmao: The boys want to leave before dawn for the day-long drive from NC to Fla, the first night is in Kissimmee with early entry planned for the next morning...

    Nighttime Touring....

Since most touring plans begin with RD....what do you do if you arrive at a park later (dinner-ish) in the day? For instance, our first 'day' we are going to AK; however, we plan to go back to the hotel and then catch Spectro/Wishes at night. Do you just wing it? Any suggestions for the time...
