We have older ones (which are similar) but the ones from last year had an allover cream and blue or red Hawaiian pattern. There are refillable stations in the new grab and go spot and inside the store near the lobby. There are several other refill spots out by the pools.

I believe there are Veteran's discounts twice a year. Sounds like your husband would at least be eligible for that. (Don't get me started on Disney not honoring Veterans enough. We get $100/trip on Princess Cruise Lines).

This brings up a great point: if something happened to me, my poor husband would have no clue how to get into the system to make reservations moving forward (after the grieving, of course). We'd better have a training class - lol.

Super helpful since we're sailing Ruby Princess to Alaska this summer! We might do a last minute CM discount cruise on DCL but the price is keeping me away in general. Their Alaska cruise was about double what the Princess one is.

Chiming in from Seattle...I would also recommend the Silver Cloud by the Stadiums but book soon! There's also a nice Marriott on the Waterfront which puts you at the heart of everything. I definitely wouldn't stay by the airport unless price made all the difference.

My understanding is that as a DVC guest you would not have to pay parking. For peace of mind, you might want to call the resort and tell them you'll have a DVC reservation. They'll have the definitive answer (though someone else may chime in).

Didn't they *just* redo that hotel? So strange. It was shut down the first time we went to Aulani and then open earlier last year. The restaurants looked good but pricey. I'll be interested to see it in its new incarnation.

Mine says Charter Member underneath. I don't think it means one bit of diff for anything if you have DVC on there or not. I wouldn't sweat it.

We're really torn. Both our DVCs are paid off so it's tempting, especially with a CM discount. On the other hand, it seems crazy to spend another $20k and rent out our SSR points every year paying maintenance on both. Maybe we'll take our chances and try to book December 2016 at 7 months out...
