First DVC Trip (as an owner) - Polynesian

Great report! We aren't Poly owners but have stayed there a few times. I think we had Tokelau our VERY first stay and a room that overlooked MK which was GREAT! Last time around we ended up in Pago Pago and I think we've decided that is a new favorite. Reasoning was that if you walked to the...

Words of wisdom from Epcot MM?

Yes you could enter at 7pm without a regular park ticket and get your wristband and vouchers. The vouchers and flyers told you where they could be used and during what times. There were some booths you could use them for early that would be closed down during the party. Regular park people I...

best place to rest in EPCOT?

If it's nice enough, and AC isn't required, stalk an adirondack chair in the new area near Walt's Dreamer Statue for sure. Find one that will at least be in the shade (could be tough...the need more shade here) but we may have taken a mid day break/nap there a few times last trip!

    Narcoosees vs Flying Fish

We have always been fans of Flying Fish as the food and service has never disappointed us. However we haven't done Narcoosee's in many years so maybe one day we'll return there and see how it compares. We also have had great experiences in the past at Citricos but it is another one we...

Does anyone else hate they keep going back to the same restaurants?

I guess we all have different tastes. We did have a great server at Sebastians...I think he was Australian or at least had an accent similar to that. I enjoyed the salad and the rice especially. The chicken was not that good...not much flavor at all. I think I enjoyed the pork and my family...

Does anyone else hate they keep going back to the same restaurants?

We definitely have favorites, but they have changed over the years. This last trip we added some new places, ones we wanted to try and enjoyed them. Our most recent go-tos have been: Boathouse (lunch usually) Steakhouse 71 (breakfast only, though we have been finding that sometimes the...

The last resort you stayed at and the next resort you are staying at? and what year?

I try not to think about how many times I book and cancel and book hotels. Last trip (January) I think we were booked at All Star Sports, Coronado Springs, Shades of Green and finally Art of Animation...just for two nights. This upcoming 2 night trip has been interesting...we have been trying...

The last resort you stayed at and the next resort you are staying at? and what year?

January 2024: Split stay 1 night at Saratoga Springs, 2 nights at Art of Animation (Finding Nemo Suite) March 2024: Currently scheduled at Riviera Resort, but stalking other resorts as my daughter is hoping to move us to Bay Lake Tower

Anyone having trouble with DVC website?

I mean the Disney IT is just SO awesome I can't imagine something failing. After all, they still have the message that the Skyliner will be down and it's been operational for almost 2 weeks now. This is not a complicated change: From January 16, 2024, through January 21, 2024, Disney Skyliner...

Which resort is a never or never again for you?

Wow. For the amount of points those cost, I would have been pretty mad about all of that. I wonder of the Wilderness Lodge Cabins are any better? Not that we have the points to afford any of them right now, but maybe ONE day in far far future. It's been a while since we've done POR, but I...

Which resort is a never or never again for you?

We got very lucky for our trip two weeks. We were upgraded from a Little Mermaid room to a Finding Nemo Suite and it was GREAT! Funny thing is when we were trying to find our room and building we drove all the way around to the Little Mermaid buildings (since that is what I booked) but...

Quick January Trip for frequent visitors - new-to-us places for review

Ok let's finish this up quickly! Final day of our trip. We decided to have a split MK and EPCOT day. We arrived at MK in the morning and decided on Main Street Bakery, which is Starbucks of course. Our go-tos here are the breakfast sandwiches so we got two bacon, egg and Gouda sandwiches...

Quick January Trip for frequent visitors - new-to-us places for review

We returned from dropping our son off at the airport and were actually pretty tired. We were going to head back to the room and chill, but we knew there would be no returning out if we did that. We had purchased Genie+ for the day, since our son had limited one day park time and we got late...

Quick January Trip for frequent visitors - new-to-us places for review

Of course. It had been on my list for a while, and staying at AoA (or any resort on the Skyliner line) made it just that more convenient for us, even though we always have a rental car too.

DAY THREE: BREAKFAST: Landscape of Flavors (Art of Animation) - some different breakfast options here, nothing terribly special to go out of your way Sadly no photos from here, and yes this food court can get a little crazy but it wasn't too bad considering we had a late night the night before...

Quick January Trip for frequent visitors - new-to-us places for review

We picked up our son at the airport and returned to AofA so he could get settled. He had no park tickets but would be joining us for the DVC Moonlight Magic event that night for free. We could get in as early as 7pm, so we were looking for an easy place to have dinner in the area. He said he...

Quick January Trip for frequent visitors - new-to-us places for review

DAY TWO FOOD: We had some of our leftover meat from Polite Pig for breakfast, but we didn't need anything else. We spent the morning at Epcot. I was hoping to try some good food at the Festival of the Arts booths but we only stopped at one, I think it was an empanada, and I wasn't fond of it...

Quick January Trip for frequent visitors - new-to-us places for review

For our first evening we decided to book tickets to Drawn to Life. We had seats in the back row, but it isn't as high as it seems and there are no bad seats that I can tell. No photos allowed either. This was such a fun show, kept me nervous and on edge but fun. Since we had returned to our...
