    teppan edo question

We are foodies and ate at Teppan Edo for the first time this past November and LOVED IT! Why haven't we eaten there before?? Two adults and two 13-yr. olds - seated with rather quiet people so it would have been more fun had they been more social, but we didn't really care. Ordered 2 of the...

    2 "foodies" need suggestions

Can't go wrong with Kona - great teriyaki sirloin! Teppan Edo was a pleasant surprise this past Oct. - great file and also tried the shrimp & siroin - all very tasty! Wolfgang Puck is another fav. The Grand Floridian Cafe is good and overlooked. We don't like O'hanas and feel it is...

    Breakfast at CSR

I agree with the others. Have stayed there twice and on last stay ventured to Boma - which is the BEST BREAKFAST I HAVE EVER HAD! It is worth every minute it takes to get to Boma - I still think about the spit roasted ham and athe most wonderful eggs and yummy breakfast items. I know people...

Where to go? 2-3 hour drive from WDW?

Make sure you don't hit Ft. Myers Beach or Sanibel area late Feb. and March -lots of traffic from spring breakers!! I'd try Naples if you are looking for a beautiful low-key beach area. Beach front can be pricey, but not far are all the major chains - Hampton, Choice, Embassy etc. Worth it!

CSR or PO - Frech Quarter ?

We have stayed at both properties and prefer CSR for the beautiful grounds, pool and the selection of food available at the Pepper Market vs. the menu items as POFQ. POFQ food offerings were very "cafeteria-like" and many items were pre-cooked, whereas at PM food is cooked to order and has many...

What food to ship or NOT to ship to Disney? Advice Greatly Appreciated!!!

We are staying at CSR 11/9-15. Planning on purchasing a case of bottled water online at COSTCO. It's around $6-7 including shipping and will be at the resort when we arrive! I read about it through the disboards and it seems that this is a very popular thing to do. They probably have other...

    Hoop De Doo Revue

What a waste of 2 TS credits! We are still talking about how we gave up another nights' dinner to experience this hokey place. We were seated on the floor towards the back and the view was fine, assuming you actually wanted to watch it. We went last year with our 11 yr. old daughters and...

    Restaurant before MVMCP?

Going on 11/10 and had CP for 5:45 and I felt the same way you do. Luckily I was able to switch to GF's 1900 Park Fair at 5pm which should work a bit better. It's our 24th anniversary and it's not my first choice for anniversary dinner (with kids), but it's the first night they offer MVMCP and...

    Wolfgang Puck Cafe

My family has dined at both many times and WPCafe was much better a few years ago before the Dining Plan ruined everything. There were wonderful steaks, chicken dishes and pasta on the menu and now the pickins' are very slim, and when we ate there last year there was no steak at all! The...

    Weird things

I once saw a woman with 4 inch spiked white high heeled shoes schlepping through the MK! It was a very hot day and I can't imagine what her feet must have looked like when she pried them out of those puppies! I'm sure it wasn't a pretty sight or smell!!

What's your favorite moderate - and why?

CSR without a doubt is the BEST moderate! It lives up to the name "resort" in every aspect: beautiful walking paths, several pools, lovely lobby and so many more. The gift shop is HUGE and features a great selection of snacks and goodies to fill up the large in-room fridge. Pepper Market is...

"You should cancel, your kids are too young"

It drives me nuts when people say "why would you want to go to WDW with your young kids - wait until they can at least remember it"!!! My answer is "why wouldn't we". Families go on trips to enjoy it while they are THERE. We've been to DW more times than we can remember and each time we...

    Kona dinner with kids?

Let me start by saying the we are foodies and have usually have a hard time finding a decent dinner in Disney. But, the exception to the rule is Kona!! We've had dinner at Kona since our daughters were 7 and they are now 12. In our opinion, this restaurant is a Disney hidden gem. It's often...

    Full beds at values

Have stayed at CSR and POFQ and 2 people cannot sleep comortably in the double bed, unless you are passed out cold! We bring 2 twin air mattresses in a duffle bag for our daughters (12) and it works just fine. Everyone sleeps comfortably! Just ask housekeeping for extra sheets and blankets.

Any one have photos of Nick Hotel?

We stayed at the Nick a few years back when it had just opened. Drove up from Naples for a few days of fun before the holidays. Did not go to any parks during the day, as we were there just for the Nick's pool and have been to all the parks many times. But we did do Dowtown disney at night to...

    Rollaway help!

We travel quite frequently and wouldn't leave home without our 2 twin air mattresses for our 12 year old daughters! We've stayed at Coronado Springs (moderate) twice and have an upcoming trip in November. Upon arrival we call Housekeeping and ask for 2 extra sets of pillows/blankets. We...
