    Phantom of the Opera-Vegas

I saw the show from the top section, about 4 rows from the top. We had a great view! The theatre is small and every seat has a good view. I honestly don't think it is worth spending twice as much to sit on ground level.

Hotel park and stay in Phoenix?

There is a Hyatt Place near the airport. I have stayed at a Hyatt Place before and they are clean and comfortable. They are also affordable.

    Pirates Land v. World

The biggest difference from what I have read is that the DL version will have actual movie props. There is also a new effect where Davy Jones is projected on a mist screen above the passing boats. Other than that, the Jack Sparrow additions are pretty similar.

DCA Saturday and DL Sunday is this true?

Generally, this is true if you are going to spend an entire day at 1 park. However, if you are going to park hop it is best to spend the mornings at DL and afternoons at DCA. You can get a lot done at DL in the early morning. Since DCA is never as crowded, the afternoons there are never as...

    WDW vs. DL rides

Of the rides listed, I would definitely ride BTMRR. It is a must do every trip. The DL version is not as large as the WDW version. However, I think it has a little more zip to it. It is really tight on the curves, which makes for an enjoyable experience. It also gives you some good views of DL.

    Celebrity sightings at Disneyland?

I saw Diane Keaton last month near the exit of Splash Mountain. I believe she had two kids with her. A CM was leading them through the exit to the ride. She did not ride herself. She attracted a small crowd, but nobody seemed to want to approach her. I don't think she liked the attention...

    Fireworks, Don't bother???

I think anyone who wants to see the fireworks from the hub area should expect to stand. That is by far the most popular place to view the fireworks and it is always crowded. Even if the CM did not ask people to stand, they would automatically do it once the fireworks began. At least, that has...

Candy Cane shuttle ride to entrance

The shuttle makes a u-turn on Katella, so you get to the DL entrance quickly. The walk is not bad either. I usually walked unless the shuttle was right there waiting for me.

WDW Tower of Terror vs DL Tower of Terror

I think there is some truth to this. The originals tend to be the better version. POC at Disneyland is definitely the better version. TOT at WDW is also better. There are some exceptions, though. Splash at WDW is better than the DL version, even though i think the DL version is the original.

    New Year's Eve Illuminations fireworks

I just got back from WDW. Had a wonderful trip. I also got a glimpse of the New Year's Eve Illuminations finale. Woke us up at midnight at the Boardwalk Villas. It was beautiful. It looked like they were shooting fireworks all around. Many of them appeared to burst into star shapes.

    Fantasmic and Remember Fireworks

You can do both if you catch the second Fantasmic, usually at 10:30 p.m. You really should see the fireworks in the hub area in front of the castle. It is by far the best view. Then make your way to Fantasmic. Crowds will be horrible as you make your way, so be prepared for that. However...

    fireworks then fantasmic

I have seen Fantasmic many times after viewing the fireworks. I recommend viewing the fireworks from the hub area in front of the castle and then make your way to the western side of Rivers of America (near Haunted Mansion). I never have a problem finding a good spot there at the last minute...

    What would you do?

I am so excited about our upcoming trip in December! I've always wanted to visit WDW for Christmas. Anyway, we have a 2 bedroom booked at BWV for our family of 3. We've also invited a family of 5 to join us. I've been debating whether or not to give the other family the larger 1 bedroom...

    Best Burger???

Another vote for Taste Pilot's Grill at CA. Also, Hungry Bear at DL is good too.

    Points transfer restrictions?

I recently had points transferred into my account. Surprisingly, the points did not retain their use year. I have an October use year, but the transferred points were February. I assumed that the February points would be 2005, which would have worked for my December 2005 vacation. However...

    Funniest Ride BreakDown Stories

This January, we rode Dinosaur at AK when it broke down. It was actually our vehicle that broke it. The ride stopped and the lights turned on. Not much to look at with the lights on. I was surprised by the lack of scenery. No wonder they keep that ride so dark. Anyway, a technician came to...

Extra Magic Hours... scam ? fair ?

I don't think it would be very easy for a non-resort guest to get a wristband. Everytime I got one, a cast member physically put the wristband on me. They are very difficult to remove without damaging, so I don't think it's easy to transfer them to someone else. However, I guess someone who...

Extra Magic Hours... scam ? fair ?

I was at the Epcot evening EMH on 1/19/05 and they are now asking for people to show their photo ID and room key. I assume they are only doing this for adults. Also, each evening EMH has different color wristbands. It seems that Disney is working on the problem and trying to keep people from...

need info ASAP on California Adventure's ToT

I don't believe TOT is wheelchair accessible. I once saw a person in a wheelchair who was able to go through the entire line and preshow in his wheelchair, but he had to transfer for the actual ride portion. You may want to contact the Disneyland Resort to be sure.
