When Renting, do your points ever NOT get rented, and you just lose them?

It's pretty much a single night here or there, or 5 nights at Aulani....which significantly reduces the number of shoppers. I am in a few FB groups, but none really focus on Aulani much.... But it's at least a shot!

When Renting, do your points ever NOT get rented, and you just lose them?

If you had points that were expiring in 2 weeks (!) because you thought you could bank to RCI, but couldn't, and MS won't give an exception, and you haven't posted recently enough to use the DISboards here to post your points, what avenue would you pursue to rent some of them out to make sure...

    Aulani online checkin problems?

Answered my own question. Seems to be a glitch in the system... I called the Aulani front desk just to make sure my in-laws names were correct on my reservation and that they'd be able to check in without me. The CM verified everything then emailed me a link to online checkin while we were...

    Aulani online checkin problems?

Has anyone been able to checkin online for Aulani? The DVC site says all but Villas at Grand Californian can do online checkin... But when I click the link on the My Vacations page, it takes me to the checkin screen, but it will not go through....Aulani isn't a choice in the resort drop-down...

    UPDATE - Merchandise event?

I'm probably the only one...but I think it's kinda creepy. :confused3 That said, I also really don't like those "real" looking baby dolls. They really creep me out! I guess I'm just really old-fashioned (even though I'm under 40!) and want dolls to look like dolls....toys to look like toys...

Aulani --excursion reviews and hawaiian quilts?

Noone's done that excursion? I didn't really expect an answer for the quilt....was hoping, but I know it's kind of a niche thing.... But I'd really like to hear reviews of that excursion if anyone has gone on it!

    Resort Specific Merchandise

Stopped by OKW last week, and am at Vero Beach right now. Both have quite a selection of resort-specific merchandise, as well as new DVC member merchandise, including a new ornament. Here at Vero we saw t-shirts, cups, stickers, hats?, and several other things. Resort PINS have returned, as...

Driving, I75, wow, it's not easy!

Welcome to FishHawk! Your son must be my neighbor! So happy you made it safe and sound!! We drive 75 all the time, but only up to about Atlanta. Can't say we enjoy the drive....long and boring....but at least DH insists on driving so I can sleep or read or play on my phone! :D Have a...

Aulani --excursion reviews and hawaiian quilts?

Haven't been on the DIS in a long time, but since we're headed to Aulani in February for my :bday:, I've been reading all the threads I can find on it! Have a couple of questions I didn't see covered in any other threads: 1--:boat: :fish:Has anyone done the Catamaran-Snorkeling-Whale Watching...

What flowers are your favorites to receive?

Hate red roses. LOVE tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, freesia, crocus, alstromerium, lilies, white roses, and purple roses. Purple roses smell wonderful!

Ditto! I know in our area, the fee for someone to come out and give you a diagnosis and estimate is $125. If you let them do the work, then the $125 goes towards your final bill. If they don't do the work, then they have been paid for their time. That said, the bill seems rather high for...

    HH vs Vero Beach

We've stayed at both HH and VB and actually prefer VB! While they're both nice, we really like having the on-site restaurant options. When we choose to go to VB or HH, we are intentionally going for a slow paced vacation. We stay DVC for the room size, NOT for the kitchen.....(I barely cook...

    Favorite Color/Least Favorite Color?

Fav....Red and/or fuschia/hot pink I just feel good/happy around red/bring pink. Least fav....orange. That said, I wear orange, because I look good in it. As much as I do like yellow, I do NOT wear it because it makes me look sick!

    Creek Meadow area questions

We love HRSP. Did it in November! :) Rainbow Springs is now on my list to check out! Thanks for the tip! And the only months we don't camp are May-September since I don't like to listen to the "I'm too hot" complaints, so we're safe there! We have a pack trailer full of equipment. We...

    Creek Meadow area questions

Difference was variable by family... Group sites were $11.25 per person per night once you added tax. Loop site in January was $58 and change per night. We put 2 families on each site, so each family paid one night...and we rounded it to $60 to help cover the site we put the kitchen on. So...

    Creek Meadow area questions

That was great y'all jumped in to help! Hope her hubby is on the mend. :) Yeah, we had 100 last year and thought that was tough. :rotfl::tongue: I shoulda known. Last year's 23 families couldn't stop talking about how great the trip was so this year that became 45 families. We had the whole...

    Creek Meadow area questions

Just so you know....next time, just walk to the campfire! It's a nice, 7-or-so minute walk from Creekside Meadows. :thumbsup2 If you go towards the back of Creekside Meadows (away from the bus stop), there is a bridge over the small creek, and a sidewalk into the 900 loop. Walk through the...

    Creek Meadow area questions

Sorry, but I'm not really sure. When we used the group area last year, there wasn't a burn ban that we knew of... But seeing as we WERE allowed to use our fire pits in the regular loops during a burn ban, I'm betting you might be.... Wish I had a more definite answer for you, though.

    Creek Meadow area questions

If I remember correctly, you must be an "organized youth group" of 20 or more to use the group camping area. That said, the teepee group that comes each year isn't a youth group....so there's flexibility. It's $10 per night per person 3 and over (plus tax). So actually, staying in the loops...

    Creek Meadow area questions

DITTO! We used Creekside Meadows last year....we had 4 of the group sites. The other 2 were used by a Pack who NEVER put their kids to bed or had them even be quiet. I'm talking screaming hide-and-seek at 3am and after. Ugh. This year we were happy the group area was full so we...
