Boardwalk Refurb - One Bedroom Design - Master Bath Changes

We were there 2 weeks ago in a refurb room. The tub is where it used to be, now just a non-jetted one & there is a full wall where the folding doors used to be...other than that, it's the same basic setup....

Big River Grill is supposedly closing

Hopefully they do what they did in Disneyland and replace it with Ballast Point: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/downtown-disney-district/ballast-point-brewing-company/ While BP's beer has dropped off since the InBev purchase, it would be infintitely better than BRG....

    1 Bedrooms at Boardwalk

That is correct - in one now. Studios have the full Murphy/sofa and the pulldown under the TV. The 1BR side has the Murphy/sofa combo in the main room.

Pros & Cons of an Owner's Locker...

We have had ours since they started in 2007(?), in fact our OL is actually blue not purple (!). The contents have changed as our kids have gotten older - it used to be a lot of the typical things mentioned and some age-appropriate toys along with Xmas lights, etc. We had our youngest start to...

To Owner's Locker or Not - Does the cost make sense?

We have had the OL since it rolled out. We use it for special items for our vacation - Disney coffee mugs, Disney glasses, a mini Keurig, coffee filters, cords, cables, ziplock bags, bubble bath, cooking items, etc. as well as rain ponchos. I have a combo backpack cooler I bought way back when...

    So much for "Welcome Home"

We had 2 Amazon deliveries made this past week at BWV, no charge appeared on our folio and they were in our room after a day at the parks, without me having to call bell.....

Anyone want my Owner's Locker contents?

I had two for a long time when my kids were small. A couple of trips ago I consolidated the things I wanted to keep into one and shipped the other one back to my house via UPS Ground - wasn't that expensive if there are things you want in there. Have you asked OL if they will ship it to you?

IT'S OPEN!!!!! (Big River Grille returning to the Boardwalk!!!!!)

I was hoping they'd get a better craft beer joint instead of BR (their beer isn't good). My hope was that they'd do what they did at DL (Ballast Point isn't the be-all, end-all, but better than BR): https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/downtown-disney-district/ballast-point-brewing-company/

    Big River Grille gone?

They might look to do what they did at DL with Ballast Point: https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/downtown-disney-district/ballast-point-brewing-company/ BRG's beer was unspectacular at best. That said, I would love a place to get a crowler/growler for the room (or several)....

BWV 1 br - Where does the fifth person sleep?

We have an inflatable mattress stored in our Owner's Locker, along with a sleeping bag for my youngest. He insists on sleeping in the closet, once he clears it out. Calls it his "bedroom", he runs an extension cord in there for his electronics (also in the OL)....

Can we talk about CRAFT BEERS in WDW

I was there in December of '17 and aside from their core beers (which are pedestrian as hell), their seasonals didn't wow me, either....but then again, I'm not a big fan of GB. If a local independent can't get access, I'd love to see the craft arm of InBev make a run at the location. As much...

    Looking for Playground Suggestions

This may sound a bit strange, but my DS has autism and we were always looking for a plain old playground with swings and a playset that he could use during our WDW trips.....we found a local elementary school not far from the Disney Springs hotels that we would use after hours - it wasn't gated...

    First Aid at Coronado Springs

Go to a MinuteClinic at a local CVS. We did this on our last trip when my son had a reaction to a bug bite. Real easy - CVS.com, found a clinic, logged in for an appointment and got it looked at and Rx prescribed & filled within the hour.

Can we talk about CRAFT BEERS in WDW

Big River beer has been pedestrian since its inception. Every time we visit (DVC Boardwalk members), we hope that it will be replaced with a better brew pub - when they first opened, brew pubs were a novelty. Now there are far too many options all over with great beer and solid food options...
