Mask mandate doubled down--keep them on while dining?

Anaheim is in California where Disneyland is closed. Disneyworld is in Florida, where it is open. Florida has no mask mandate. Yes, individual establishments can set their own guidelines but for Disney to go backwards when the numbers are coming down and vaccines are in place is very, well...

    Under Bed/Sofa storage?

This is our first time cruising with our son, (who has the most stuff!), and we are wondering if there is room to store things under the beds and under the sofa? Does anyone know? Silly me--this is the Disboards, I should say, who can tell me the quickest? Thanks...

What are the Benefits provided to Large Groups?

With 9 cabins, you should get at least one person's travel fare free. I was booking with Disney last year when setting up our trip for next week and I could only get 4 cabins worth of people. The rep told me that if I could get , I think, 8 cabins I would get a free person. They didn't call it...

    Copyright Infringement?

They can do it, but it certainly is a cheap gimmick. C'mon...."Miracle"? "Mad Hatter"? "Pinocchio"? I've always enjoyed Carnival's ships on their own merit. Do they really NEED to go that route?

    Where to stay?

We're staying at the Pop Century. We figure, that way we will only be there for 1 day and we will be able to look at the hotel. No park trips so we don't have to worry about that. We did get the free minature golf and will be dining at Chef Mickey's Friday night (next week, finally!). We plan...

    Sept Price WOW

We have been on a cruise before, (Celebrity Cruise Line) in February and we were stopped from going to a port because of really rough seas, it wasn't even a hurricane. We were on a Western itinerary and we ended up going to Key West twice to make up for the lost port of Progreso, Mexico. My...

    Deck 9 drink station?

Yes, the tea is unsweetened. Dang! I was looking forward to 24 hours of milk they used to have. Guess I'll have to stock up the refrigerator before 11.

hi all did any one ever have any really bad weather they were scared on ship

Not on DCL, but on another line we were headed for awful weather. We were supposed to be headed for Progresso, Mexico but were diverted to Key West. We had already BEEN to Key West during this cruise so we had no interest in going back. Anywhere else would have been great. The cruise lines...

Snorkel at Castaway Cay or Nassau

It's been a few years since we did, but last time we snorkled at CC I was told I couldn't go under water in several areas. I like diving to the bottom but was told twice to not do that again (I guess I didn't listen the first time). This was by 2 different cast members. It made no sense at all...

    Pressed penny machines

Now why would they get rid of those? I always thought they were popular. I guess that means we have a collector's item. Do I have any starting bids?

    Pressed penny machines

I know they have pressed quarters because we have some. I thought I remembered some pennies but I don't remember getting any of them. There were quarters located outside the Disney Theater. The two we got was the basic cruise line logo (3 swishes and Mickey icon) and Captain Mickey. They had...

    Table for Two?

Or you could get lucky like we did. On our last DCL cruise we were at a table for 8. No one else showed up the entire cruise. We know there was someone booked at the table with us, but they never made an appearance. It was great. Although, I felt bad for our servers since they were losing out on...

    Disney Visa onboard credit? HELP!

They know. If, however, by some chance they forget that they know, go to the desk and ask about it. We did this in 2000 on our first Disney Cruise. It wasn't the Disney Visa (since it didn't exist then) but it was some other promotion. I asked and was given my $50 credit. It wasn't a hassle at...

    5/22 docs are in

We got our documents 2 days ago. Strangely, our infant son was not included. When I called DCL to inquire they said that they HAD sent his documents.......to Houston!!! We live in Georgia. I asked my son if he had something he wanted to tell me and he just kind of mumbled something I couldn't...

    Dining Room Head Manager

Among the many other things the Dining Room Manager does, he makes sure you have a table. This is the person responsible for table assignments as well as any changes that are made. If you were happy with your wait staff, the Manager is the person responsible for them. He trains them and ensures...

    Guess where I'm going!!!!!!

We'll be on the Magic on the 22nd, also. We'll be with our just under 2 year old son, his Grandparents, my sister and her husband and their 3 kids and brother in law's parents. It's our 2nd trip on the Magic and everyone else's first. In fact, it's all but my mom and sister's first cruise...

Who wants to be a Mouseketeer?

Wait....a panel pin?! They gave you a panle pin for participating? Well I'll be darned. I happen to hold the honor of being the very first spokesman of the very first panel on the very first Who Wants to be a Mousketeer show. We were sitting in the audience and when they asked I waved my hands...

    $749 a person - 7 nights - with a balcony!

I used to use the agencies on the company web sites but I got tired of them placing so many restrictions on me. That's when I decided to call Disney directly. Its just like asking for any discount code. And no, ID badges aren't enough anymore. They require the fax letter verifying employment...

    $749 a person - 7 nights - with a balcony!

Nysie, Call Disney directly. You will have to fax them something from HR stating that you are an employee in good standing, but calling Disney directly gets you the discounts. Just mention you want an Interline rate. I used to use the Interline travel agencies, but I found it much easier to...

    $749 a person - 7 nights - with a balcony!

Unfortunately, on the DCL, only the airline employee gets the discount. Other carriers extend it to family (up to a certain number of rooms) if the employee is traveling with them. DCL had done this in the past but changed that policy early last year.
