Catwalk Bar. I was allowed to go up there a couple of years ago to take a quick look, all the fixtures were still in place. We miss Horizons too - DD and I took one last ride right before it closed, and we got stuck for about 20 minutes. We didn't mind at all.

Not true, I've always booked directly on their website. In fact, out of 6 cruises, only one was booked through a TA (Dreams Unlimited, our sponsor here). The others were all booked through the respective websites.

Bottled Spaten Optimator is 7.2% alcohol by volume (at least around these parts, YMMV). I have no reason to doubt the Optimator on tap at Germany is any less, especially after draining that big mug at Biergarten. :eek:

Slight correction, it's Spaten Optimator. You're right, it's pretty awesome. Sometimes they have it on tap in the courtyard, and I think it's usually available at Sommerfest.

We've done it a few times. It's an easy drive up A1A, maybe an hour or so. Are you renting a car? We find it convenient to drop the car at the office near the port (we use Avis but there are others). The shuttles from the car rental office to the port can get crowded, and you may wait a while...

We watched the sunset from Mallory Square, then walked over to El Meson de Pepe for mojitos, dinner, and more mojitos. THAT was a good day....

DD and I were stuck on Horizons for about 15 minutes. We didn't mind at all because we knew Horizons was scheduled to be torn down and it was, literally, the last time we would ever be on that ride.

They play trailers from B-grade horror and SF movies, newsreels and cartoons. There are a couple of "go visit the snack bar" interstitials thrown in. All are period-correct. The loop is roughly 40 minutes long.

All I want is a reopening of the Catwalk Bar....

The Catwalk Bar was our favorite watering hole in all of WDW. I was allowed to go up the stairs to see it a couple of years ago and everything was still in place, but that may have changed.
