    Don't stress the crowds

We were at World Showcase last Saturday evening. Despite advice to avoid we had an 8:30 ADR at Tokyo Dining and didn't want to cancel it. We arrived at Epcot at about 6pm, rode SE FP+ (10 min SB wait), SoaT (10 min wait), MS green (no wait), then TT with FP+ (big SB wait). Around WS it was...

    4th FP+ at concierge?

In that scenario, will it work if only one member of the party goes to the second park? If I have the other members of my party linked in MDE can I be the only physical person to have entered the park, then book the 4th FP+ for all of us? I know I can do that if we're all there...

    4th FP+ at concierge?

Is this possible? If I visit a park in the morning with my 3 pre-booked FP+s, then want to hop to another park for the evening, my plan would be to leave the first park, go the the second one, get the FP+, then leave, returning later in the evening to use it. Since hearing mention of being able...

Tell me about your 1st WDW vacation, please.

In June 1979 I was 13 and my parents took me to WDW. We stayed at the Dutch Inn (now the Wyndham LBV). Things I remember: - Walking to Disney Village (DTD/Disney Springs) and driving a small speedboat on the lake. - Ticket books, riding Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, lots of rides, this...

    Reservation line down?

Dining reservations now working for me. I am reassured the message I receive is now: No tables available around 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Monday, October 26, 2015. Select a different date or time, or change your party size, and search again. :sad2:

    Reservation line down?

I'm getting either that response or: "We were unable to check for available tables at this time. A problem occurred while looking for availability. Please try again later."

New guidelines - October CANCELLED ADR Thread - Read 1st Post

There's availability 10/26 for BOG dinner at 9:35 for 3 right now. A few hours ago I snagged a 9:30 dinner for 3 (a bit late but happy anyway).

    IFWF Crowd Nightmares.

Has it got much busier the last few years? Our last F&W visit was Oct 2012, and we were there on Sat 27th (ate in Biergarten at 7:45). I remember it being busy but not unpleasantly so. Don't remember especially long lines for drinks etc...

The FP+ Saga - spoiler alert: its terrible.

FP+ isn't for guests benefit, it's for Disney's benefit. It is worth big $$ to them to know attendance numbers for each park very accurately in advance. Then thay can plan staffing, merchandise, food orders etc. very efficiently. They spin it as how it's so awesome for guests, but after spending...

Another article about trying to book ADR's

I booked room only for Oct and paid 25% deposit upfront. The confirmation said the balance was due on arrival date. The T&Cs also state that to receive a refund of the deposit notice of cancellation needs to be at least 5 days prior to arrival.

    Just Back Comments

Thanks for the report. I wouldn't have been happy to be told that about the buses by the front desk. It is 'complimentary', but that's why you pay a premium price to stay onsite. It's not like nobody pays for the transportation service.

Tolls - can i buy a sunpass at MCO or other options?

The Hertz system isn't activated unless you pass through a cashless toll or lane. If you go through your entire rental without going through a cashless toll you don't get charged anything. I don't think there's any way of disabling it though, but it isn't enabled until you 'opt in' by triggering...

£63pp off BA long haul flights, today only,

It's £63 off to mark the Queen's celebration, but kind of ironic given the Las Vegas incident. On other sites people have been talking about the offer being red hot etc...

And we're back...quick highs and lows.

Well if my children are anything to go by it doesn't get easier as they get older! They're now 18 and 16. On a recent (non-Disney) holiday we went on a sightseeing excursion and took along sandwiches that DW had made. DS18: "Why are the sandwiches cut into triangles?" Me: "Beacause yesterday...

Yes, didn't realise that - I have edited my earlier post to remove that bit. Thanks for clarifying :thanks:

    I.D: What can I use?

The US Embassy in London's website also advises that an International Driving Permit is valid ID for age verification: http://london.usembassy.gov/rctour.html That said, if that isn't Disney policy, or if CMs refuse anything other than a passport anyway then that won't be much use.

For us the old fast pass was better

I hadn't thought of that. It must be a real disincentive to be an AP holder. I suppose the only think it does do is let you book a few non-headliners if you want to pop along one afternoon for example.

    Booking on US site/MDE

Adding to my post as I think of things... The other 'disadvantage' of buying the tickets seperately is not being able to add DDP. At $60/day we couldn't justify that, particularly as DD16 isn't a huge eater (we're not particularly ourselves), and the real cost given the extra cost of the Disney...

    Booking on US site/MDE

Well, I did book 4 nights at Ft Wilderness Cabins using the Fall Savings offer. It all shows up fine in MDE. I bought 4 day hoppers from Undercover Tourist - this was very good, I bought e-tickets, and received the reference number in less than an hour, which again linked straight away to MDE. I...
