Ordering off the kid's menu when you are 11?

I am sure this has been asked before but I can't seem to track down the answer. I have a DS - 11 ,and having reviewed the mens at several of the restaurants, would be much happier ordering off the kids menu. Is this a problem?

    Concerned eaters UNITE!!!

Orlando has come such a loong way in the last 10 years with better quality dining options. (Normans at the J.W. Marriott for example) For a long time the California Grill was the spot to go to in Orlando - not so much now, there are just many, many more options. If there is another travel...

Tell me about the Boardwalk Inn,please!

Just returned from a week at the BWI. It is quite nice. Most rooms have day beds. We were a party of 5 (3 kids) so we had to have a room with a daybed. It is smaller than the daybeds at the Poly or the YC/BC (or it just seems so to us). There can be some long walks to your hotel room just...

    Fantasmic package is Wack!

Last week we had dinner at Spoodles at 6:30 (underwhelemed again!!) and took the boat to MGM for the late show - no problem with seats.

Anyone Done This? (red-eye and try and check in early?)

My brother in law and his family flew in on a red eye from San Fran two weeks ago and checked into the Poly at 6:30 - they had two room reserved and got them both! They had breakfast at Kona and slept for a couple of hours and then hit the pool.

What's your opinions on this DDP 2007 change?

I'm with you - just got back from a week long trip and was dissapointed by so many meals

Does anyone else feel that Disney prices are getting OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

We just got back from a week long trip and what struck me as pricey was the food. I think the quality and variety has dropped pretty significantly in the last 4-5 years and the prices just keep going up. We ate several meals off property just because I couldn't bring myself to pay the Disney...

    Ticket window turmoil

Just returned from a lovely week long trip to Disney and I thought I'd share a warning about some difficulty I had at the guest relations desk at DD. We arrived in Orlando on 7/30 and had dinner at Wolfgang Puck that night. While we were waiting I stopped in at guest relations to check on...

    Lines at Water Parks??

Just got back and did BB on 8/1 and 8/6. We arrived at park opening and had a good hour of no lines, no waiting. On 8/1 My older sons and DH rode summit plummit and the slush gusher several times with minimal wait time. We all rode Teamboat Springs around 9:45 and waited maybe 5-10 minutes...

Where should we eat dinner on day of arrival - EPCOT resort ?

We ate at Palio's a couple of years ago (it.s been awhile) - it was delicious. I also remember one thing about it that I loved beyond the food - it was quiet and it wasn't crowded. After a long day - it would be just the ticket for my crowd.

    BC/YC Question

I have to chime in on the negative side with the bus transportation. We stayed at the BWI last August and watched three Mk busses roll by full. It was an EMH morning at the MK and we were standing at the bus stop at 7:00am!!! I was livid. We arrived at the MK around 8:15. There are close...

    ticket quandry?

We are planning a trip in early August (2 adult, 3 children). Our plan is one day in each park and two days in the water parks for a total of six days. We have FLA resident status to add to mix. Whats the most cost effective option?

Are we the only family who does NOT do the Dining Plan?

Its just not for me - I really think it takes people out of their normal eating patterns (vacation or no vacation). It encourages gluttony and waste and I hate that.

    Update: Bedbugs

I cannot believe the lack of compassion that I am reading on this thread for the poor family whose holiday was ruined and whose childs health was put at risk. The OP was kind enough to share her horror with us as a courtesy and she is treated like some money grubbing deviant -We in cyberland...

    Stormalong Bay Questions

I love the Stormalong bay concept, but I have to say it was incredibly crowded during our last visit (early August 05) We had a hard time finding a chair just to drop our shoes. The water was very, very warm and the pool was crowded. It certainly didn't stop us from having a great time. With...

What kind of new resort would you like?

I love the idea of a castle or stately home. Something like Hampton Court as the main building and wing buildings that are Tudor style. You could have fairly elaborate gardens (a maze?) and a small tudor style village for shopping/restaurants. Great uniforms for the CM's as well!!

    World Cup

Orlando has a huge ex pat Brit community. Do a google search on bars/pubs in the Orlando area that host "football mornings" - There should be several to choose from. Here in Atlanta (where my ex pat family live) different supporters groups congregate at various pubs. The pub usually lays on a...

    BWI, having second thoughts...

Thanks for the reassurance - I am a creature of habit and always seem to return to the Poly - with no FLA res discount for our dates we are looking beyond our usual confort zone. We tried the BC last year and enjoyed it but didn't enjoy the crowded pool (mind you the Volcano pool at the Poly is...
