    Our horror story!!

crisi said: I bet you can tell stories about advising people to fly in the day before, only to get an earful about trying to increase your commission through an extra night hotel stay! Actually, I have very few clients that fly in the day of a cruise. I explain to them the possible...

    Our horror story!!

As a TA, I always advise my clients to fly in the night before. That way, they have that extra cushion in case of flight delays and such. There's nothing like waking up refreshed and unhurried with the peace of mind that you will make it to the port in plenty of time. ::yes::

What kind of tablemate are you?

I think most people are pleasantly surprised by the tablemates assigned to them. I really enjoy meeting new people and finding out about the various places they are from. I prefer the larger tables with more people assigned to them. Tends to be more diversity and conversation. As a TA, I...

    verandah vs. balcony ??

Hi 'wildabouttheworld' Certainly not a stupid question. Each cruise line will call it a balcony or verandah. As far as the navigator's verandah vs. regular goes, go to this site: www.castawayclub.com Click on the links for stateroom photos. They have photos of both types of...

    HELP I need Serious HELP

I used to do the something similar. I enjoyed just going to the local airport and just watch the planes take off and dream of going to some faraway destination. At the time, I really didn't have the finances to travel. The first time I saw a cruise ship, I felt the same way. Now, I'm a...

    Autographs

There will be plenty of opportunities for your children to interact and get character autographs. In fact, on our last cruise, there were several times I noticed very small or no lines to meet characters. DCL does a good job making them available to guests. Certainly not the mob scenes you see...

    What's playing on the Wonder?

Saw Open Range on the 8/14 Wonder cruise. I didn't partularly care for it. Typical Costner movie that moves slooooow. Pretty violent towards the end. It was more enjoyable watching POC while at sea.

    NOT Upgraded

WebmasterPenny is correct about upgrades. DCL does a good job of upgrading where necessary in order to sell the lower priced category cabins. Odds for an upgrade are much better during the off-season. However, never book a cruise expecting an upgrade. More than likely, you'll be...

    ironing

On our last Wonder cruise, as soon as we got into our rooms at 1:30, we headed to the laundry room on our deck(6). There was no one there and had 2 ironing boards available. We ironed all of our things and didn't have to worry about it for the rest of the cruise. Later, I noticed that there...

    Changes on the Magic

Not sure if this has been posted, but I got it off one of my TA sites: ORLANDO -- Disney Cruise Line will shift around some public rooms on the Disney Magic to give teens more space. The teen club, Common Grounds, will be renamed The Stack and moved underneath the ship's funnel, displacing...

    Travel Insurance Question-Need help

I use Access America for my clients regularly. I consider them to be one of the best travel insurance providers available. I would have no qualms using them. The price quoted is a good price for that type of coverage.

    New Ship

Here are the choices DCL is giving guests when they fill out the guest information card at the end of their cruise: Itineraries not yet available: 3 or 4 night Mexican cruise(out of California). 7 night cruise(Mexican Riviera out of California) 7 night cruise(Alaska) 7 night...

    New Ship

More than likely an Alaskan itinerary would be out of Vancouver or Seattle. As a TA, I've seen both the Mediterranean and Alaska as the 2 most likely destinations. My feeling is they will go for Alaska to get the Disneyland air/sea connection and garner more west coast business.
