I have been searching for one, too, with no luck. Guess we're the first ones at the party? Not my first cruise, but my first cruise with a kid and with Disney :)

    Skeptical about AKL

I love AKL, but I found transportation to MK problematic. Not because the bus ride took a long time, but because busses to MK seemed so infrequent. We would see two or three AK stops and 2+ DHS, EP stops for every MK stop. Made getting to the parks for RD or an early ADR a challenge. For...

Adventures by Disney-- How do people do it?-- It's so much $$

We've considered it, but I think we'll end up passing. My husband and I are very comfortable traveling, even in locations where we don't know the language. It's easy enough to get a hold of trip itineraries or excursion vendor information to set up experiences on our own. We like traveling...

Neighbor trying to knock down our fence

The building inspector might ba able to point you in the correct direction.. What an odd, awful, and awkward situation!

    good shoes for wide feet?

My super wide swim flipper style feet do well in Keens--Venice style, maybe?--in the parks. For sneakers, I wear Asics Gel Nimbus, wides in a full size up from my usual shoe size. Fancy pants (but still comfy) shoes are from Jambu. Dansko in winter. Sanuk flip flops when I don't have far to...

I have a sense of impending doom.

Spontaneity can be awesome, fun, and freeing. Or be chaotic and exhausting. Over planning can suck the joy right out of anything. Or be wonderfully efficient and exciting. In both cases...really in any case...what matters is an attitude of enjoying where you are and rolling with whatever...

What Could You Do At WDW with $6000?

That's awesome! I will say that it may vary by state...at our store we don't get fuel points for cash cards. At the time I tried it was both visas and Kroger gift cards. I suspect that elsewhere may be different.

swapping the dessert for water on the disney dining plan

It depends on the cashier, but in most cases you can. I have never personally been refused, but others report they have--though it seems rare.

Opinions regarding our food choices - thank you!

I love BBQ, but Flame Tree and HDDR in the same day may be too much for some travelers. Maybe a different lunch that day?

Are the refillable mugs worth the cost?

No worries! :) Wasn't offended...more confused. Tone is so hard to convey. More was trying to highlight that the construction of the mugs make it hard to clean. Add that to the "con" column!

Are the refillable mugs worth the cost?

I've done the same and can still taste the coffee. Dawn, hot water, bleach rinse, dishwasher. I can still taste it. Not sure what about my comment made you think I was simply rinsing in cold. The previous poster who gave the tip about the paper cups-- That was a great help and will be really...

    ID needed for alcohol?

I got denied alcohol service at Tune In Lounge because of no ID. it never occurred to me that I needed anything other than my ticket to the world, but it makes sense. I could tell the bartender believed me, but couldn't serve me without ID. I have not been carded anywhere else on property so I...

Walking from Contemporary Resort to Wilderness lodge. possible??

True! And then they could charge more ;)

Are the refillable mugs worth the cost?

Depends on what you drink, as others have said. I drink coffee, iced tea, and the very occasional coke. Other than that it's water or seltzer (which i get shipped from Amazon to the resort). I hate the way I can still taste coffee in the mug even when I wash it well. I'd rather pay out of...

help please, can I be on two reservations to help elderly in laws

I'd be much more comfortable staying with them next door or in the villa with me. If we were to bring my inlaws--who relish their independence, but who require help--we would make coordinating reservations at their hotel of choice. Ajoining rooms if possible. My husband or I would make a QS...

You can purchase Amazon gift cards at Kroger and receive fuel points. Not a huge perk, but a pretty good one.

The "No Food For You" Waiting on PINS & Needles Room Only Discount Club -Come Join Us

Have Free Dining booked Nov 14-18 at the tail end of a conference my DH will be attending. We're thinking of joining him for the lead up week and getting APs, but the best way to make it all work is a room only discount. Watching and waiting with you all!

    Adult beverage must-dos

I am partial to the Backscratcher at the poly lounge. That and some fireworks and I am one happy wahini. Anything from the Tea Pavillion in China is grand--i like the Mango Gingerita, but I love strong ginger flavors. I also loved the Rye Manhattan with Luxardo (seriously amazing) cherries at...

podcast question, if anyone can help

The iTunes podcast app works great. For Android users, I'd recommend the app called iPP Podcast Player. I've not thought about any Disney Podcasts! I tend to listen to Pop Culture Happy Hour, Alton Brown, and TED talks, but I am always looking for new things to listen to.

    AKL buses

Golly, that early I'd spring for a cab. We had a similar reservation time at Ohana and we were down to wait for the bus at 6:30--and anxious the whole time . Not sure if we missed the earliest bus or if times just didn't line up, but we just made it for our ADR.
