Best hotel for the holidays? RPR, HR, PBR?

Wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing these, it really looks lovely, particularly the entrance area.

Best hotel for the holidays? RPR, HR, PBR?

We're heading for a couple of nights at Universal following our WDW trip in early December. Do any of the onsite hotels stand out for Christmas-type activities at that time? We've currently got HR booked with an AP discount but are wondering if that's the best selection. We'll be arriving...

    Disney Dream 5052

Thanks so much for helping. I had a similar experience in searching. Am hoping that someone here on the boards has stayed in the room and might be able to help with my questions.

    Disney Dream 5052

Thanks for the link. Looks like a great choice in terms of the location and the verandah, but no mention of the room itself. Paul

    Disney Dream 5052

We've currently got this allocated for our trip at the end of the year and love the idea of the larger veranda is it's category 4E...however, am unsure what the bed and tub configuration is inside. Does anyone have first hand experience of room 5052? Any info you can share would be greatly...

    Wifi at Epcot

Sitting outside the bakery in France on wifi, scoffing croissants and creme brûlée! So much better speed than at the resort (BWV). I had to call the helpline who took some details and promised it would be better later.

AA indirect via Miami, worked well

Arrived yesterday evening and enjoying our first full day in Orlando - morning at Hollywood Studios followed by afternoon swim back at our villa. Just wanted to let others know that our indirect flights from LHR via MIA to MCO worked out really well - I know the relatively short layover has...

    OKW transportation advice

I'm guessing that sentence is trying to state that the service runs in a more limited fashion during those hours, compared to the rest of the day when you will likely see more buses. As others have stated, buses run from before park opening to past closing time. Have a great trip!

One night without Dining Plan, where do we eat?

Can I suggest Longhorn? We try to go there every trip now, and find both the food and the servers to be excellent. There is one on the 192 just by the Super Target, and another close to Premium Outlets - been to both and had great experiences. Depending on how bad DS's peanut allergy is, i'd...

    One way Hire Car Charges

I recently asked exactly this question of USRentacar for our upcoming cruise, and they assured me there were no one-way fees in cases such as this.

    Using a VPN at WDW

We were at the Boardwalk last week and the wifi performance when we first checked in was shockingly bad - virtually unusable, but it did improve afterwards. Still not quick, but did manage to get Slingplayer working at standard definition to watch the early morning football on the Sunday...

Upgrade length of stay pass to annual?

Thanks for the reply. I checked with customer services team and they say no, not for international visitors :( The website doesn't mention it...right up until you submit the order. Have emailed customer services to suggest they update the terms earlier in the process. Good thought on...

Upgrade length of stay pass to annual?

Am undecided about buying a length of stay or annual pass for our trip to Seaworld. We are going back to Orlando later in the year, but i'm not sure if the children will love Seaworld enough to want to go back soon. I'm thinking the best solution might be to purchase a length of stay pass...

Still living the Dream: Day 17 – Castaway Cay, Part 1

I understand, there is so much to take in ahead of time, and while you will read up on the locations of everything in advance, it will also take you a little time on board to get your bearings. The cabanas are quite expensive from what I remember, but then nothing with a Disney cruise comes...

Still living the Dream: Day 17 – Castaway Cay, Part 1

Glad it was helpful. Am pretty sure we needed to be back on board by 5pm at the latest, so plenty of time on the island to wander and relax. Any questions, please ask away. Paul

Still living the Dream: Day 21 – Wilderness Lodge

Oh wow, that’s amazing, I’m sure you will have such a wonderful time and I bet their faces will be such a picture when you reveal the trip and then later the cruise! I don’t think you’ll have an issue with the later sitting, as it’s really just a case of switching the show and dinner times...

Still living the Dream: Day 23 – Heading for Home and Summary

Day 23 – Heading for Home and Summary Sunday 5th June This is always the hardest day of the trip report to write for me. I don’t know about anyone else, but once I wake up on the last day of the holiday I just want to be home…I think it’s that I can’t bear the long goodbye, not to mention the...

Still living the Dream: Day 21 – Wilderness Lodge

Day 21 – Wilderness Lodge Friday 3rd June Well, our voyage is over. 5 nights at sea have rushed past faster than an 8 year old on the Aquaduck! On our last cruise about 11 years ago we had to be up at the crack of dawn to take part in some kind of ship-side passport check, but thankfully...

Still living the Dream: Day 22 – Studios, MK, and the Geyser

Day 22 – Studios, MK, and the Geyser Saturday 4th June Well, we’ve come to our final full day of the holiday. We’ve now settled into our fifth accommodation of the trip, and have pretty much done everything that we had hoped to do when we arrive. So, what to do? I know…hit the parks!! When...
