I bought the 430EZ for mine - very pleased with it, plenty of controls and powerful enough (for amatuer work); I would have liked fill-in but it was the extra cost and the few times I would use it (not a big portrait person!) Neat unit, I would recommend it

Totally agree; but coming from the UK it is difficult to bring my tripod with me. Can you suggest somewhere where I can buy an inexpnsive one in FLA to use? I wish I had when we stayed in AKL (handheld 300mm is hard to control!!!) It would be much easier to do this!

Only if you are close enough for the flash distance; remember you need to be pretty close for an in-built unit. If you are, yes; but on auto the camera will decide. Even I am excited!!!
