    1900 Park Fare

We had dinner there in December and it was a big hit. Cinderella came around 2 or 3 times, we had a 4:30 seating so that probably helped that since the place wasn't crammed full of people yet. The food and the atmosphere were wonderful, we'll definitely do it again.

A new twist on the perpetual DP milkshake question

I would ask but I'm betting the answer is yes. My dd wanted the Bibbity Bobbity Brew at CRT and I asked if we could get it and just pay out of pocket. Our waiter said we could do that or it could be in place of a dessert.

    Swimming Now?

The pools are heated so it's a matter of your own personal comfort level. My kids swam one night in December when it was 52 degrees out. They weren't the only ones in the pool that night either. There were a lot more people in the pool when it was 70 though. LOL

Check out this 300 day ongoing trip report!

That's just evil. Now I'll never get anything done! I just got to follow along on a ride on the TTA. One of our favorites!

OK - Can I go Delux to Value??

Go for it. We did Sports, WL and POR and we all enjoyed the value much more than the moderate. The food court at sports was bright and clean and offered a nice variety of food. I went with the idea that I could do one night at at a value but probably no more and I totally changed my mind after...

    Milkshakes and Souvenier cups?

We got souvenir glasses at CRT and LTT. We had to pay an extra OOP fee, I don't remember the exact amount but it was $5 or less for each glass.

Resort for that special first time visit to WDW: WL, BC or BW?

With the ages of your kids I would vote for WL. You'll really appreciate the boat to MK where I'm assuming you'll be spending a lot of time. They'll also love the geyser and watching the EWP at night.

Been back for 3 weeks and already planning our next trip

We were at WL the same time you're looking at. We flew on the Saturday after Thanksgiving though, that wasn't bad at all. My parents flew on Thanksgiving day once and they were two of 5 people on the flight. Everyone got moved to first class so the flight attendants didn't have to walk so far...

? about transportation from WL to epcot

Yes, you can take the boat to either MK or the CR then you transfer at the TTC. I would suggest you do just that. The busses to/from Epcot are my only complaints about WL. They don't seem to run as frequently as the other busses and are always very crowded.

Where would you eat in Epcot?

Marrakesh! It's great for adults and children alike. They have "regular" food on the kids menu and you and your husband will be able to try something different. The restaurant is beautiful and all of you will enjoy the entertainment.

Best Counter Service meal in World showcase

I'm going to vote for Tangerine cafe and the shawarma platters also but don't rule out China because of the desserts! Even my kids loved the ginger ice cream there. It's just fast food Chinese though and we get much better here at home although the orange chicken was very good. We had...

Tell Me Why Moderate over Value?

Other than POFQ we will always choose a value over a moderate. We've stayed at Sports and loved it and will start our next trip at Pop. We didn't have any problem with noise and we were there over Thanksgiving weekend when the resort was pretty full. We didn't have any problems with noise at POR...

    WL View & Bed ?'s

I'm not one to take chances and since there is no guarantee of an MK view by requesting it I would pay for a courtyard view and request inner courtyard. You can't go wrong with and inner courtyard view, they're all spectacular. We could see everything, the main lodge, the stream, the top of the...

How long does it generally take to do AK?

You'll get all kinds of answers about how long it takes to do AK. Some people will say it only takes a half day or a couple of hours but IMO they aren't really seeing the park. We arrived at opening and stayed until 3 and wished we had more time there. Or next trip we'll arrive at opening and...

    More about bunk beds....

Every time they announce some refurbishments at one of the resorts I expect adding bunk beds to be on the agenda but it never is. I don't get it either. I would think from the amount of requests that they get at WL and AKL management would realize that bunk beds would be a hit everywhere.

Pop Century .. do we need a preferred room?

I wouldn't pay for a preferred room at any of the values. Most people seem to do it because they think they'll be closer to the main building but if you check out the maps you'll see that there are rooms in non preferred buildings closer to the main building than some of the preferred rooms.

    spring break?

This year and next year it's the week leading up to Easter. We'll be there next year so I'll be anxiously watching for reports from those of you going that week this year!

Please tell me about the Wilderness Lodge Pool

The WL has a very nice pool and slide. My 9 and 12 year old liked both much better than the pool and slide at POR.
