how did you choose your username for the dis?

My Jacqueline is 11 and about to start 6th grade. When she was a baby, I considered submitting movie reviews to a show on Reelz channel called The Movie Mob. My screen name would have been Jacsdaddy. I guess it never happened because I was staying at home with her and rarely got to go to...

how did you choose your username for the dis?

My first name is Alan and I was born in 1968. Put a lot of thought into that one  Is there a thread yet asking us why we chose our profile pics? I bet that would be fun to read.

how did you choose your username for the dis?

I don't suppose you're also a fan of that 70's cartoon series Battle of the Planets? There was a robot named 7-Zark-7 who had a pet robot dog named 1-Rover-1. Just wondering.

    January at Disney?

We went in 2015 the week after New Years. The crowds were only bad at MK, and the weather was absolutely perfect. Didn't rain once. On our HS day, we actually had to stop and take a water break - something we've never had to do in January before! Apparently it does get cold in Orlando some...

When is everyone going to Disney?

We're going October 2028 to celebrate my 60th birthday! Hee hee. I hope it's not too soon to post this. I don't have the nerve to make a countdown for this trip. A lot can change in 9 years, but gotta have something to look forward to. It will be just me and DW this time, and the kids will...

    First trip - unmissable experiences?

DW and I watched Illuminations for the first time when we went to Epcot in June. Loved it! I've never been much of a fireworks person, but when I learned they are about to replace Illuminations with something else, I was really glad we took the time to watch it then.

Which Disney ride do you enjoy but causes discomfort?

My tummy did some flipflops the last time I rode Star Tours, which makes me sad because I love that ride. It's just like being in Star Wars. Now I hear they might be getting rid of it. Hopefully they'll replace it with something better.

Where and when did you honeymoon?

Memphis, TN. We stayed at the now defunct French Quarter Suites and spent a day at the now defunct theme park Liberty Land, which was home of the Zippin Pippin coaster, which I'm told was Elvis' favorite. I truly wish we could have afforded a Disneymoon. She definitely didn't marry me for my...

    Toon Lagoon question

I think I've figured it out. The mystery dog might just be Pajamas, who appears in Tumbleweeds. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

    Toon Lagoon question

In Toon Lagoon (IOA) there is a fire hydrant statue with comic strip dogs all over it. I recognize Voof (Hagar the Horrible) Daisy (Blondie) Ol' Bullet (Snuffy Smith) and Ruff (Dennis the Menace) but there is one other, and I feel like I should know who it is, but I can't place his name or the...

    "Non-popular" attractions

We did Philharmagic for the first time last month. Loved it! And Impressions de France is so awesome!

Hey Ferb, we did it ALL! Well, almost... Our trip report from Cinderella's Castle to Hogwarts Castl

Yeah, I tried something new this time. I formerly just typed it as a Word document and inserted the pictures, but it wasn't so easy to upload and share that way. So I just made it a Wix website. I liked it so much better that I went back and redid our 2015 TR the same way.

    "Non-popular" attractions

You would probably like the one at Fiesta Texas in San Antonio. They are beer steins instead of teacups. For real.

    to much pda in lines.

Ack! You just gave me a flashback to 2001 and the Palm Pilot 3 I gave DW for Christmas. Gameboy-like graphics and handwriting recognition that only worked 40% of the time...but back then it was a pretty neat innovation. Imagine an MDE app for that thing... Seriously though, Disney is not the...

Characters rides you would like to see?

Did it have the Roger Rabbit ride, or has that always been a Tokyo exclusive?

Characters rides you would like to see?

I know I'm probably 30 years too late, but I really wish WDW Florida had a Roger Rabbit ride. I was never there when they had Mickey's Toontown. They still have it at Tokyo Disneyland. I saw a TimTracker video of it, and they have a Roger Rabbit dark ride that looks awesome. If they ever had...

    The Void

Now I feel a lot less foolish for not having bought tickets already. And we leave in 9 days. Sounds like just doing walkup won't make much of a difference.

    ***Official June 2018***

My vacation starts the day I leave the house, and I count accordingly. To use a Lethal Weapon analogy, I go on 3. And opposed to 1, 2, 3, and then go. :rotfl:
