I was on UT earlier and it says that the 2 day park to park - plus extra day promo tickets expire in full on May 31st 2016. Do you happen to know if that's something that's only because the tickets are purchased through UT or do you think it indicates that they'll be ending the promo?

That's the thing, it's over 7K, before food, etc. for our family to stay at one of the deluxe hotels and that's a bit out of our price range this year. Would it be worth it to do the express pass upgrade for one of the days?
