    Meal plan vs TIW

If you are going in sept they are giving the meal plan for free with packages booked through Disney, I would check into it.

    RCI exchanges question

Just checked a week in that resort through sandals website and w out airfare it's $3126 for 2 people. So assuming it's $968 for 2 people, which seems to be case looking at the RCI page, I would say its a decent value for your 160 dvc points (your getting a $2158 value for 160 pts)if that's still...

    Meal plan vs TIW

Using child credits for adult QS is tech against the rules, but we actually found out about it a couple of years ago doing meal plan. Funny we were told by a Disney employee that all QS meals were counted the same.

    Meal plan vs TIW

Yes that's exactly what we did, used child credits for adult QS meals which was more then enough food.

    RCI exchanges question

Thx for the info! I figured it was prob too good to be true. So to make sure I am understanding this correctly: if I did/could exchange my dvc points through RCI for a sandals if it were available it would just be for the room only and it would be $1900 for my wife and I to go. I'm assuming that...

    RCI exchanges question

I recently sat through a bluegreen resort timeshare presentation obviously for special deal on a room. We never intended to buy, but during the presentation the fast talking presenter said you can exchange through RCI for any Sandals resort. Now, if you've ever been to a Sandals resort you know...

    Floor space in AKV studio

We just returned from AKV jambo and used a twin air mattress for my son with the sofa pulled out. It was tight but it worked out. We put the twin between the slider and the sofa bed so I think a queen would fit with the sofa in, it might be tight but should fit.

    Meal plan vs TIW

We only did one sit down table service in France and that happened to be the 2nd most expensive dinner. The rest were dinner buffets (no breakfast) mostly character because of my little one. I didn't include the tips in the calculations just the price on the receipts given. This worked out well...

    Savanna views jambo house

Finished our trip and had a Arusha savanna view and it was awesome!! My 3 yr old was so excited every time she saw an animal. My older 2 enjoyed it as well. As a bonus if you have an Arusha view on the left side of jambo house opposite to sunset savanna and kidani you have a perfect and awesome...

    Meal plan vs TIW

Decided to go w the meal plan and kept track of price of meals and we had $1413 worth of food for $1085. Now, if we didn't do the meal plan I figured we would have spent around $1000 to $1200 on nessasary meals anyway so basically we got to indulge in treats we probably wouldn't have had...

Pros and Cons of buying a vero beach resort?

I think if you have cash in hand and do not have to finance VB is ok to purchase if you don't care about the 11 month window. Sure after 7-10 years your paying more, but it depends on your financial situation. I recently purchased VB 150 pts for 7600 (50 per pt) and had the cash in hand. The...

    Meal plan vs TIW

Just wondering if the TWI is worth it or are we better off going with the regular meal plan? We have 2 adults 2 children and a baby under 2. We've done the meal plan before and it seemed to save us money based on our receipts. We always use our table service meals for dinners and enjoy the...

    Which DVC resort is best

All the DVC resorts are great! You will get a lot of opinions on "the best" resort but it's really your preferance. If you like Port Orleans you'll love all the DVC resorts. SSR nod OKW are near port Orleans if you like that area. Those 2 resorts are similar to upscale condos. BLT & GFV for...

    Closest DVC resort to universal?

I agree w com op 2000. If you are going to do universal I would recommend staying on site especially if you are going during a crowded time. The free express pass is like gold because the lines at US are horrible, especially IoA! if you stay off site it's over $80 per person for express pass...

BCV or BWV during April break?

We go every Easter break sometimes before Easter sometimes after, it depends on the school calendar, it changes every year in our district depending when Passover falls. We've never had a problem booking 7 months out at any resort so far. The reason we never book 11 months out is because the...

    AKV Jambo bus service

Thanks for the info everyone! When we joined DVC in 1998 the majority of our stays were at BWV & BCV so we really soured on the bus transportation because it was ridiculous that sometimes 5 resorts shared one bus!! Now I know it's spilt up with BW S&D sharing and YC & BC sharing, but the buses...

    AKV Jambo bus service

Staying at AKV Jambo in July. 1st stay there and I was wondering how the bus service is from the resort and if they share with any other resorts. We are not big fans of the buses and usually have our car so we drive to the parks we need to depending on where we are staying. We hate wasting time...
