What is the worst roller coaster you ever rode

I agree about Mean Streak -- I was so sick after that ride...I didn't go on another ride for the next 2 days at Cedar Point. I also felt sick after Expedition Everest....I think if my head/neck gets too jerked around, I get very nauseous.

Your favorite "lesser known" Christmas Songs

One of my 'new' favorites is 'Spotlight on Christmas' by Rufus Wainwright. I also like 'We Three Kings' by Sarah McLachlan and Bare Naked Ladies

who here has gotten rid of their land line?

I don't think it's anything critical, but according to Directv: To receive the full benefits of your DIRECTV System (pay per view purchases via remote control/sports subscription auto-renewal), the receiver must be continuously connected to a land-based phone line, which means that both the...

who here has gotten rid of their land line?

For those who have gotten rid of their land lines, does anyone have directv? If so, how did you get around the fact that you need a phone line plugged into the receiver for certain services?

last week of august not empty!

We were there from 8/25 - 9/1 and found it to be a mixed bag. AK, HS and Typhoon Lagoon were the worst in terms of crowds. If we were to go back again in late August, we would avoid the morning EMH parks, because it seemed like those were the most crowded parks/days. Now that evening EMH is...

No more Splash Mountain during evening EMH

I was at EMH last night (8/26) and can confirm that Splash Mountain is not open any longer. I asked a castmate about it and he said the decision was made because the ride needs that extra time for rehab. The reasoning makes sense -- in our one day there yesterday, Splash Mountain was...

Quick Pass Question -- I'm starting to second guess myself!

We're leaving next week and will be at the parks from 8/25 - 9/2. We leave early on 9/2, so we technically will have 8 days to visit the parks, waterparks, DTD, etc... We have 7-day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper and Water Park Fun. If we only visit a water park on one day, does...

Do characters sign things other than autograph books?

I recently saw a cute idea where characters sign picture frame mats and then you use the autographed mats when you frame the photos with the characters. Has anyone tried this before? How did it work?

OMG Closing of the Olympic is SAD!

I didn't realize George Michael sang 2 songs! But we got to see Jessie J sing several songs? :confused3

OMG Closing of the Olympic is SAD!

The Closing Ceremonies included playing a new version of Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill'; however NBC cut this song along with cutting Ray Davies singing 'Waterloo Sunset'. I was so disappointed because they are two of my favorite performers and I kept waiting to see/hear their songs...

    Just got my MICKEY MAIL!!!

At least I know that I'm not alone. I've used Small World in the past (and Andrea is wonderful!), but it's been so long that I can't remember what comes when! At least it will make checking the mail each day exciting!

More Fluff ~ Silly things you thought as a kid.

When I was 5 years old, I thought succotash was a swear word. My family would try to get me to say it and I refused because I was afraid I would get in trouble for swearing.

Do you want to/need to see Bin Laden's body?

I don't believe everything the government says, but what do we have to gain by capturing him but pretending that we killed him? This hunt has been going on for almost 10 years. I think there were detailed plans as to how the military/government should proceed if they succeeded in killing...

Do you want to/need to see Bin Laden's body?

The news reports are indicating that the NAVY Seals gave him the opportunity to surrender and he chose not to. Bin Laden has said in the past that he would not be taken alive, partly to create a martyr legend and further fuel the fire of his followers.

Do you want to/need to see Bin Laden's body?

I can understand our feelings of not wanting to give him the type of burial he would want, but it's very likely that our government made that choice to minimize anger that those of Muslim faith would feel towards us (and in turn would gain more sympathy for him and his group) for not honoring...

Do you want to/need to see Bin Laden's body?

According to several news sources, there are a couple reasons why he was buried at sea and so quickly. Islamic rules/customs are to bury the dead within 24 hours. He was buried at sea because (1) it would be difficult to find a country willing to accept his body and (2) having a burial site...

So why did you get divorced?

My reason for filing for divorce was infidelity. I take responsibility for letting the day-to-day craziness of raising 2 kids and working full-time distract me from paying more attention to our marriage. I thought we were happy but very busy like a lot of other families; he was unhappy and...
