There is free 24 hour room service so often we'd return to the room around 1am and order soup/sandwiches and milk/cookies before bed once all the other food places closed.

and FWIW we did a 7 night cruise on the Fantasy and our only expense was tips. We spent no extra money and had a fantastic vacation. They kids loved the clubs and we loved going to the gym and napping.

For our 1st cruise, my brother waited until his daughter was 3 (and assumed she'd be potty trained), my girls were 4 and 5. we rode Dumbo after the fireworks a few weeks ago. My daughter had waited all day and the line was too long but I did promise we would ride. It was still long after fireworks but not as bad as earlier in the day. We probably waited about 20 mins which is my max for Dumbo.

It seems like an east coast thing. I don't know people out west who get it off.

I would do DCA. You could do a lot in the day, our favorite rides are there, there's beer, and it's so lovely there at night.

We have been 3 times and stayed at 3 different hotels, HoJo being the first one we stayed in. All 3 were walkable but HoJo was my far the easiest. I want to say under 10 mins.

yes, I am at a point where we don't plan any trips more than 2-3 months in advance. I don't like waiting :)

yeah, WDW just isn't an enjoyable vacation for us anymore. We enjoy DL more, but it doesn't mean we won't be disappointed and that there isn't room for improvement

yeah, how is disney supposed to improve without honest feedback and reviews from those who aren't impressed? I don't think anyone needs to suck it up. It's a business with customers and customers should voice their grievances.
