    Tipping at Restaurants

I'm not sure if this topic is a touchy subject or whatnot, but I was just wondering about some things... I just started waiting tables at a restaurant that I've been a hostess at for two years and have noticed that people have EXTREME differences in the way that they tip their servers - I...

    Under 20?

I'm 18 too! :goodvibes I guess it goes to show how long I've been lurking/posting on these boards - I got my first tag when I was only 16!

Any restaurant managers? Quest. about credit cards & tips.

I work with the cashiers at my restaurant and our managers always tell us to type in the tip the customer wrote out if the "real" total and written total ever differ. Sometimes people can't add correctly but usually always intend to give the tip they actually write down.

    Phantom of the Opera DVD

The Special Edition 2-disc set comes with a great making-of featurette (its about 45 minutes long) and also a deleted scene which I LOVED and can't imagine why they took it out. I absolutely loved this movie and ran out and bought the DVD this morning...

Fun place to eat in NYC? Jekyll and Hyde? or other??

Get the frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity - it may be expensive, but it's the most delicious thing I have ever tasted! Sooooo good!

    The Phantom of The Opera

I saw the movie THREE TIMES when it came out in theaters and then my dance team took a trip up to NYC over Spring Break and we saw it on stage. It was amazing! So awesome - they were trying to raise $$ for AIDS research and were selling real autographed Broadway posters for $40 a pop and I got...

Anyone seen Maroon 5 in concert?

Dedicated fan here...saw them for the first time back in October of 2003 at a small club in Houston before they got pretty famous, then at the Woodlands Pavilion last summer, and finally Reliant Stadium just last night! Every performance was AWESOME, but I have to admit that the small club...

Have You Ever Been OBSESSED With a Movie???

Omg! Yes, I am most definitely obsessed with this movie too - I saw it three times in six days, all with my two best friends. We could NOT get enough! It was so much fun going back each time because we'd know more and more of the lyrics and acted out the scenes with them. And I'd cry a little...

Have you ever transposed words and came out sounding like a dork??

I do it all the time! The funniest instance, I guess, was when I was re-telling a funny story to a friend about a hilarious joke that I told someone and I accidentally said "It was so funny, I cracked my head off!" (A mix between "I cracked myself up" and "I laughed my head off"....a little...

The "Official" Movie review thread! Review ANY movie you want to.

The Phantom of the Opera This was definitely one of the most amazing movies I have ever seen, hands down. The three actors who portray the phantom (Gerard Butler), Christine (Emmy Rossum), and Raoul (Patrick Wilson) do so flawlessly. Their voices are magnificent (especially Emmy's...

Okay fess up does anyone have a real Louie Vuitton Purse?

I got a classic Papillon Louis Vuitton purse for Christmas last year. My parents got it from the LV boutique in our mall. It's a great purse - I've used it pretty much every day over the past year. Definitely worth its price tag...

I was born in Findlay, but haven't lived there for years. We make yearly family trips up north in the summer though - to both Ohio and Michigan. Both are pretty places that time of year.

    "Saw"

Has anyone seen this movie? I saw it tonight and it scared me to death. I've never seen anything like it. I don't want to go too much into it in case y'all haven't gone to see it yet, but if you have...what did you think of it?
