How do you feel about adults drinking alcohol at Disney?

I agree. For DH and I, trying new foods/beverages is the best part of being on vacation. If I wanted to avoid drinking while on vacation, I would visit my mother! :scared:

Winter boots that won't break the bank?

Living in Wyoming, boots of all kinds clutter my closet, however, my favorite "go to" boots are my Boggs. They are great all year. I garden in them, shovel snow in them, camp in them, etc. They are water proof and come in many styles. They do run a tad small so I suggest getting one full...

    MNSSHP - Best Part?

Short wait times for rides is a huge factor, but my favorite part is seeing my kids trick or treat without having to wear snow boots and coats! :thumbsup2

For repeat visitors what are your rules for dining?

My family has always been open to new dining experiences, so there are no rules. Have you ever seen your children tear up when you mention that you went out for sushi while they were in school? Those are my kids!:worship:

And so it begins.....EBOLA is here

As I am typing, my husband is on his way home. Perhaps in that split second after reading that sentence, some of you just visualized your own spouse. You visualize the attire they left the house in this morning. You remember his/her mood and the last thing you talked about before saying...

    HHN 2014......What Are Your Dates

By sheer luck (and Delta messing with our flight schedule), we will be in Florida one extra day, which means we (party of eight) will be partaking in HHN on Nov 1st. Yep, last day for the party! Anyone else been on the last day? It falls on a Saturday this year....

    Memories of Maelstrom

October 2008, we (family of four)were on the ride when it delayed for about five minutes. Not a huge surprise that a ride broke down, but what was awesome is that we were in that spot where it goes backwards directly in front of the exposed opening to the outside world. And that tree troll was...

double jogger vs 2 single strollers at disneyland

As a parent who's been there and done that, I would recommend going with 2 singles. DisneyLAND is more confined and the crowds are bad enough just trying to walk through, let alone navigate a stroller.:crowded:

    Disneyland Cell Phone Crashing

Perhaps it was him at the DLH a few weeks ago...:confused3 Here's my story... I had been up and dressed since 5:45 AM and it's approaching 6:30 AM. Family is enjoying their slumber in our 2 bedroom suite at the Disneyland Hotel. Armed with a fresh cup of coffee and a ciggie, I leave...

    Won't Do Dining Plan Again

Devil's Advocate here...;) We have done DDP on our last three WDW vacations and felt it's worth every penny. (not the Deluxe DDP though.... so not worth it for us.) Not only did we not worry about food prices, we actually saved over $800 on our last trip (10 days). Yes, I did the math!;)...

SAHMs who used to work outside the home

ahem... "Domestic Diva" is my preferred and "politically correct" title!:p I've not held a paying job in 16 years and I'm 41. With a college education, I've done everything from bartending to home heath care medical purchasing to managing greenhouses and everything in between... all great...

We are NOT here to have fun... we are here to be a FAMILY! DLR TR

Thanks Daisy! Today, I started pondering other thoughts that may be of some use to future DLR visitors that I would like to share. Sometimes being home and actually using/playing with souvenirs triggers the ol' brain!:scratchin:idea: If I can, I'll add a few pictures. As usual, I'm having a...
