    OMG -March Break Flights

Thanks for sharing. That sounds like a risk, but if the off peak main days still work if it doesn't get changed on you, then that's great That's great that so far it has been a great trick that has worked out.

    OMG -March Break Flights

So true...you risk not only going up but the "good" times selling out. We did pick the tickets with an ideal time, as we figured if we selected a late night return (another cheaper option), then we'd spend the difference anyways in a day hotel or activity and food. (This is post return cruise)...

    OMG -March Break Flights

So true! Airlines aren't stupid and raise the price substantially at break time.

    OMG -March Break Flights

We live in Toronto so flying out of Buffalo is an option. The only thing is that weather is so unpredictable these days and I would worry even more about snow out of Buffalo than here in March.

NEXUS Renewal 2024 - Documenting my progress (Update: Approved in 10 weeks)

Thanks for explaining. What a pain! That is super inconvenient and may not even be possible depending on the timing of arrival and trip. If we need an interview, I think we'll just coordinate a Buffalo trip (by car).

    OMG -March Break Flights

From previous years from what I've seen for Canadian flights, I think that's the case when it's not holiday time, but for xmas and March break week, it only seems to go up (or may go up and down slightly). Air Canada flights have actually been out for a bit, but we were waiting for WestJet to...

    OMG -March Break Flights

We just booked our flight for March break 2025 from Toronto Pearson to Fort Lauderdale (not Disney). I know travel has gone up but this is getting insane. We booked for 3 and It actually cost more than we just booked at Xmas time for 4 of us. We tend to stick to main airlines (i.e. Air Canada...

NEXUS Renewal 2024 - Documenting my progress (Update: Approved in 10 weeks)

Thanks. Good to hear. We are in Toronto and Pearson is listed in the link you gave. Our understanding is that it hasn't opened back up again for Nexus.,,,but maybe it is as of now?

NEXUS Renewal 2024 - Documenting my progress (Update: Approved in 10 weeks)

Thanks for posting your experience. We just submitted our nexus renewals today for myself and two kids so will see if similar experience (end April). It seems like we will need interviews though, which is a pain as we would need to drive to the States (plus our son is only home for 4 months...

    Just got back--underwhelmed

Sorry you had such a bad experience. We were on Odyssey in December and have the opposite as we loved it. The Labadee change was to keep you safe as a precaution. I agree that Nassau wouldn't be as ideal but it was one of those things our of Royal's control. Yes I suppose they could have...

Oasis of the Seas for Kids

So much for teens and pre-teens....rock wall, swimming, waterslides, mini golf, zip line, dry slide from deck 16 to 6, sports court with various scheduled games, Boardwalk fun (games and I think they have a climbing thing for your younger one), merry go round, parades (I think on Oasis...we...

    Odyssey entertainment

Yeah, it's a shame they don't all have Broadway...at least for Quantum and Oasis class. Having said that, Odyssey is a wonderful ship, shows are enjoyable (The Book is a bit odd, but artistic and great talent) and still well done, and Odyssey itself has the Wow factor. I'm sure you'll have an...

    Odyssey entertainment

Went with a 14 year old, 18 year old , DH and myself and we all enjoyed it. The story is light (superheros fighting the bad guy) but it was done quite well and had some cool special effects. We are going on Wonder soon and seeing Effectors 2. (I guess the story continues). Looking forward to...

    Air2Sea & Delta Codeshare

We used Air2Sea for the first time with our last cruise and booked WestJet flights. My understanding is some airlines let you book your seats as soon as you book Air2Sea. However, with WestJet we had to pay off the cruise (which we did close to final payment). At that point, the tickets are...

    Odyssey entertainment

We were on Odyssey in December. The Book is the only show you need a reservation for, and thus, it's the only one you will see in the planner pre-cruise. There is a show every night though. The Effectors is their "Broadway" type show. There is Show Girls. The rest will be headliners.

Royal Caribbean Newbie here, how do I choose which class?

The great thing about Royal is they have a ton of ships and they cater to different likes. We have been on Oasis, Quantum, Voyager, Freedom and Vision class. It depends on what you like or want as priority. You don't mention if you have kids, which can make a difference. They all have Main...

Newbie on Royal - What are your best tips?

We also enjoy the MDR., but food is subjective. Also, I have never stayed higher suite , but have heard very good things about Costal Kitchen (if on Oasis or Quantum class). If you want to try specialty, maybe look at the menus and give 1 a try? We also like traditional dining so we get the...

    Carry On and Toiletries

Returned from our trip and no issues with toiletries. I managed to pack a Ziplock each (layered so not flat). They barely looked on the way there. On return from USA, they said we didn't even have to remove the Ziplock bags from our carryon's (so they didn't even care).

    Carry On and Toiletries

Sneaky but so smart! ...lol DH will have my second toiletry bag and I do wonder if they will question why he needs concealer and some of the other hair products

    Carry On and Toiletries

Thank you. Wow, you were able to bring a lot in 2 liquid bags. I have the travel size shampoo/conditioner, hairspray, moisturizer and I do put my hair serum in travel containers. To limit liquids, I find that makeup wipes and Olay dry pre-face clothes work well as they don't take up liquid...
