When did the hand washing/wiping become mandatory?

kshabare - Please don't misunderstand me. I wasn't annoyed. I wasn't trying to start any debates here. I think the handwiping is wonderful. Previously, when I cruised this was an optional thing. When I saw it was mandatory, I wondered was there a recent outbreak? The whole point...

When did the hand washing/wiping become mandatory?

Just got off the 6/24 Double Dip on the Magic and I was wondering when hand wiping went from recommended/optional to mandatory? I'm not opposed to this at all, but it just made me wonder if this was something new or if there had been a recent illness incident? Before getting on the ship...

Mia, Paradise, or S.F. Cozumel Beaches?

We will be in Cozumel in a few weeks and since Chankanaab may not be open, we are trying to decide which beach to take our 9 and 11 year olds. I don't want to pay the over $200 for the Cozumel Beach Break thru the ship. I have some questions and welcome any suggestions about the 3 main beaches...

I know this is the Dis, But Has anyone cruised Hawaii?

We went on a NCL Pride of America 7 day Hawaii cruise last summer. I would highly recommend taking this cruise, but do not expect a Disney cruise! Disney has better cabins, better shows, better food, and better service. So why take the cruise? For the itinerary. This is absolutely the...

    Disney Parks Worldwide

Thanks DocRafiki, but most people call me crazy. September is a good weather time in Paris. The Disney Studio in Paris is small, but it had a couple of good attractions that don't exist anywhere else: Cinemagique and the Moteur Stunt Show. You should do a cruise next. It's more relaxing...

    Disney Parks Worldwide

I'm the one that checked all 4 parks. I'm sure there are others that have been to all 4, but they may not read this board. My wife (TxJasmine), who reads this board said I needed to respond to the poll, since she had only been to 3. I regularly read some of the other planning boards, but not...

Can you drop off/pick up person at parks?

We have a car and are staying offsite. On one of the days, we will be taking the kids to Universal, but the mother-in-law would rather be at Disney. Is there a way to drive to a park entrance and drop someone off without having to pay? Same for picking up. If not, what do you suggest?

    key west aquarium

We did this a few weeks ago. They have feeding times every couple of hours where they feed the stingrays, sharks, sawfish, etc. During the shark feeding, they swim up and rip fish out of the feeder's hands. After feeding the sharks, they scoop up one or two baby sharks (about 18" long) and...

    Tampa airport hotels/Amerisuites

Stayed there once a few years ago. I wouldn't say it was dirty, but I thought it was run down. I was disappointed because I like the room layout (it was like Embassy Suites). You might ask them if they have done any renovating recently.

Calling Experts - Xcaret with a toddler

Xcaret is on the mainland. You must take a bus to get there and back and the ferry back to Cozumel. This could get a little long for a young one. The underground rivers are neat to swim/snorkel, but probably not for toddlers. Not much to see for snorkelers in the undergournd rivers, but I...

    HIFS free on 9/11!

I haven't seen this posted, but I heard on the radio yesterday that HIFS in Orlando was offering a free night on 9/11. They said anyone already booked would get the night free. Someone should check this out and see if it is available. I won't be there at that time, so it does me no good.

How is the crowds the second week in Dec?

We were there 2 years ago during that same week. If it were any less crowded, I think they would need to close the park. Islands of Adventure was more crowded than Universal. At Universal we felt like we were the only ones in the park. We also took 2 days, but finished early on our Universal...

Any North Texans know if the Character Warehouse store is still open...

The only other Disney outlet in Texas that I have heard of is in San Marcos, and I think it is a Disney Store outlet (I have never been). The Warner Brother's outlet at Grapevine Mills closed as well as the Warner Brother's store in Northpark in Dallas. I think they closed all across the country.

Any North Texans know if the Character Warehouse store is still open...

It's definitely gone. It left early in the year. Let's hope they come back. Most of my family's play clothes were purchased there.

    Whoville again next year?

You would think they would bring it back to coincide with the release of the movie on home video and dvd.
