Swan/Dolphin guests can book FP+ 60 days in advance

Oh ok so this isn't news? It sounded like it was new, especially the 60+ days. WDW claims those hotels aren't owned by them and yet they're getting the same perks as Disney owned rooms.

Swan/Dolphin guests can book FP+ 60 days in advance

I searched and didn't see anything. AllEars is reporting S/D guests can book FP+ 60 days in advance. https://mobile.twitter.com/AllEarsDeb/status/455326117009063936

Early August - rope drop vs. late evening touring

Crowd wise I would say early morning is almost always better. People are much more likely to stay up late and enjoy the parks than wake up at dawn. With that said, I think you would be better off going at night because of the heat. I live in the south and I cannot take the humidity that comes...

Can't believe what I saw on BTM

Did those kids at Universal harass you after you called them nasty trolls too? :rolleyes1 Support? Support for what? An incident that may have only occurred in the OP's head four months ago? An incident that affected her daughter so, so much and yet she's bringing her back to the very place...

Do people really want to stay at the Poly water bungalows?

I don't think the quality of the water has anything to do with why Disney thinks people would want to stay there. No one will be swimming in it or drinking it. I think it's a pretty cool idea that I've only seen in exotic locations. I'm excited to see how Disney will execute this plan. I hate...

Questions about the Grand Floridian - please respond!

I don't have any specific room numbers, but the Sago Cay building has the best theme park views (for outer buildings). Boca Chica is another building with theme park views but to me the castle view wasn't great and was at an angle. It was mostly a Contemporary/Bay Lake view. Not a bad view, just...

Are you an early riser at Disney?

I wake up early, but only because I have to. No matter where we stay there is always morning noise from other families getting ready so we drag ourselves out of bed. We usually make it to rope drop. It's a pain getting up early on vacation but it's necessary for us to tour the way we'd like...

Can't believe what I saw on BTM

:thumbsup2 In this world of Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, smart phones and digital cameras, no one has proof of this? I have seen plenty of shaky, pointless and amateur Disney videos and I'm to believe there was a full train of BTMRR passengers and not one person snapped a pic? Not even a...

Why do you choose WDW over DLR?

I'm 3,000 miles away from DLR. From what I've seen in videos it doesn't seem like a complete getaway. WDW feels like you're literally in another world with 4 parks, 2 water parks, dozens of hotels and great dining. I get Universal and CityWalk vibes from DLR. With that said, I'm insanely jealous...

Can't believe what I saw on BTM

Hmmmmm. A couple of years ago CMs stopped a ride because my son dropped a bag of chips on the side of a track. You want me to believe Disney did that for a fun size bag of Cheetos but allowed six bodies to stand the entire time on a rollercoaster? The other thing is, BTMRR has low caves in...

Disney , please don't do this...

Where did I say that? Reading is so underrated these days. But since you (sorta) asked: I would love for Value hotels to have one extra FP, two for Mods and three for Deluxes and Villas.

Disney , please don't do this...

:rotfl: Well, yes. The average offsite hotel is what, $99 per night? The average deluxe hotel at Disney is $350 (after tax and WITH a discount!). If you're staying offsite for a week ($693) and I'm staying onsite for a week ($2450), do you really think you're going to match the amount I'm...

    Best Deluxe Resort with Kids

I would go with the Grand. It's on the monorail line, very peaceful and the splash area and pools are wonderful.

Best deluxe resort for an adults only trip?

Four adults in one room? I would get a villa. If you don't mind sharing space with another couple I think the Boardwalk, Grand Floridian and Animal Kingdom Lodge resorts are good picks.

    The struggle is REAL

Pop is a place people talk themselves into liking. Hard beds, paper thin walls, crowded pools and food courts: sounds like paradise! :rolleyes1 Why do people say this? There's no rule that says you must use the stove or oven in a villa. People book them mostly for the space and privacy...

Unbelievably BAD rooms and stay at Yacht Club......LONG

Embarrassed? More like, it's none of your business, which I clearly stated. If I was embarrassed I would never mention it. But I totally understand being too ignorant to see the difference between a comp and a scam.

Unbelievably BAD rooms and stay at Yacht Club......LONG

You're only worthy of a comp if you see bedbugs pool-hopping and carrying 2003 refillable mugs. Thank you. That's none of your business, but enough times that it hasn't bothered Disney. They may even...comp me again if I have another bad stay. Unfortunately for you, I will continue to go...

    Just back from Wilderness Lodge

I agree. We're really debating whether we should just go ahead and buy points at VGF because Disney's regular deluxe rooms no longer feel so deluxe (and the prices won't stop climbing). At least with DVC you don't have to deal with housekeeping (for the first few nights) and you're not fooling...

Unbelievably BAD rooms and stay at Yacht Club......LONG

I agree! Well, except I do stay onsite. But this is the Dis and nitpicking an alleged nitpicker is what happens. I'm also a "complainer." Proud of it. I won't pay Disney's crazy deluxe prices and then bend over and ask them how they want me to take it. She should be grateful she has the...

    Don't cancel your vacations yet!!!

I agree. Even when we did make it to rope drop in the past we would have to wait at least 30 min for TSM. I also love that we don't have to run around the parks like lunatics, picking up FastPasses. I love this thread. It's so tiring seeing the same names in every FP+ thread making nasty...
