We have stayed at SOG many times and our kids love it!! They have an amazing pool with water slides and another pool in a different area, a small playground, arcade and a very small PX that you can buy things at military pricing with no tax. This includes discount tickets to other area...

We have had Cabana #3 three times and loved it. When I am able to request, 120 mark, i give a range...Cabana 3-8 so I get what I get! Any cabana is better than no cabana!!

We always bring our own puddle jumper on the cruise for my 2 non swimmers. They are 5 & 7 and still feel more secure in something they have been used to rather than using something they are unfamiliar with. They are light but a little bulky to pack but certainly worth it for us!!

There are MANY kids that wander on their own...some that can handle it and some that can't. My 9 year old wants to be one that will be able to wander the ship but is not responsible enough in my opinion to be one of hose kids!

Pirate Night and Formal Night are separate. There is a Captain's Gala that will take place on formal night. Bring Pirate attire if you plan to dress up, a lot of adults and children do! Enjoy!

Grab lunch after boarding at either Cabanas or Enchanted Garden. Both offer a lunch buffet. Cabanas is more crowded than Enchanted Garden but EG doesnt offer the full line of buffet items.

Unless you change who is in what room with DCL either before sailing or with guest services when checking in, they must attend the muster drill at their originally assigned station. This is due to accountability for each lifeboat. There has to be enough room for (adults and children) everyone...

We do laundry every cruise. We also take the detergent pods and dryer sheets. Stay with your laundry. It does take a little while so bring a book or check back often. There are machines scattered throughout the ship.

I don't know how I would feel about this if this was an option. Personally, I like NOT having to wait in line for our children to get autographs with the characters. I wish they didn't like doing it, but they do. The pictures always turn out great and they get a few special minutes to spend with...
