Prepaid Card with no international fees

Popular card these days is the wise card - actually originally a UK based company. They have a small fee for conversion to the currency of choice but it’s less than the amount built into other cards through poorer exchange rates as a way to claim they charge no fees. A few banks also have their...

Where is the opening day price thread??

I’ve been wondering the same thing but I understand that we can see a little more than previously. Now of course I have to decide whether I’m willing to pay the higher prices or wait until 2026 when I would be able to cruise in a more shoulder/off season. But by then the prices might have kept...

Why is Easter in March some years than April?

Easter is scheduled based off the lunar calendar. We have also already passed shrove Tuesday, commenced lent etc if you follow all the dates that lead up to Easter. Although that assumes you are not one of the orthodox branches of Christianity which have different dates for Christmas, Easter, etc.

Should Boxing Day be a US holiday?

Australia also has Boxing Day and lots of sales for those looking to shop. When I was a student in casual jobs I often worked a very long shift on Boxing Day if I could get it. Was great pay! Now I have an office job I am happy having the day off.

What should you be doing right now?

Sleeping but I have to stay awake a little longer for my DVC 7 month window to open up. The annoyances of being an owner on the other side of the world to Florida. It is better when we are in winter and Florida is on daylight savings but it’s the reverse now making for a late night.

Do you get your fur babies Christmas presents?

Of course. I even get my sister‘s dog a toy too (it is expected). As a child I enjoyed crafting and made all the family pets their own mini stockings to hang on the mantle with my own.

    Caribbean cruise insurance

Unfortunately after a lot of time reading different policies and selecting the one I wanted, chasing the company about my enquire regarding their coverage on the Virgin Islands, and so on…. I found out that this particular company is underwritten by an insurer that doesn’t cover Virgin Islands...

What makes you feel uncomfortable about driving?

For me there’s a lot on the road of course, but it’s actually the attitudes of people off the road that bother me the most. I found learning to drive harder than many other things I have had to learn in life and I was unfortunately injured in an accident (driver was following too close and ran...

    Caribbean cruise insurance

I’m one of those people who will do everything possible to try to avoid having to make a phone call.

    Caribbean cruise insurance

We have equivalent companies in my country too. Was trying to avoid needing to make the phone calls.

    Caribbean cruise insurance

OK so it looks like it is Saint Lucia (my cruise confirmation said St Lucia) but now some of the companies are not recognising any of the Virgin Islands… not all companies just some. There’s so much extra effort for cruising!

    Caribbean cruise insurance

I am currently looking for cruise for my USA trip next year which will end with a Disney Caribbean cruise. Most of the insurers require me to enter all the countries I will be visiting. However, I’m coming up blank for St Lucia. Does anyone have this type of insurer requirements? Is there...

Any pages providing a history of ticket offers?

We are planning a Disney cruise next summer and will have a couple of nights either side at WDW with our DVC points. After a lengthy trip back in January 2023 (love the UK tickets) this would likely be a no parks trip. However, if there was another offer like the one last summer (4 day ticket...

    So frustrated.

Very true. I live in a row of townhouses and the neighbourhood kids ride their bikes in our shared driveway. While they’re all good at moving out of the way of cars and parents of smaller children do keep watch, I’m so much happier with the camera as reassurance that I’m not about to hit a child...

    Expensive financial mistakes

One thing I’m grateful for is something like that doesn’t change our insurance in Australia. But we have cameras everywhere and in some states the fines from cameras targeted at catching mobile phone use while driving are $1000+.

    Expensive financial mistakes

Had the road and the intersection not been so quiet, I expect I wouldn’t have broken the rules. I work odd hours a few times a year to cover things on international time zones and never drive during that week, or while jet lagged, to get home from the airport, etc. Im always amazed at people who...

    Expensive financial mistakes

It’s not a criminal matter so legal fees are not worth the $$$, simply an infringement which can mean a lot of $$$ where I live (although there are worse for some new matters associated with phone use in some states) but nothing that is going to impact my very long and good no-claim bonus with...

    Expensive financial mistakes

I just found out that I’ve received a very large traffic infringement notice. I’m in Australia so I won’t go into the details, but it was a big mistake and there’s clear video so it’s highly unlikely I’d be successful in any type of appeals. I don’t really remember what happened but life is...

    ADHD

Just wanting to give you some words of encouragement. I’m not a parent but I work with a few adults with ADHD. They’ve all had differences in their experiences but all are very successful in their careers and workplace and personal relationships (as much as we know about their spouses being...
