We stayed in 1607 last week. It's a standard view and was fabulous! We faced the main building, the beach and beach pool, covered walkway and the fountain. We could also see the beach and the lake. Plus the monorail. I was concerned with the standard view but it turned out great!!

I just spoke to MS. CM said you are not able to book FP+ for EP on MDE. She advised it has to done at the MB kiosk in the park. Hmmm, not sure if this is accurate, but I plan on checking MDE frequently anyway.

I agree with Geomom, try it once and for part of your stay. We spent 8 nights at VWL and did not care for it. We felt it was too secluded and quiet. We like the "hustle and bustle" of Disney, and we missed that at VWL. Also, we had a terrible experience with the MK ferries. WL shared with FW...

I haven't eaten at Jiko, but BOMA is excellent. We make it a point to eat there every Disney trip. I am a picky eater, as is my 16 year old, but we always agree on BOMA. Enjoy!

Does anyone know if they divided the sides of the building by even and odd room numbers (like BLT)? I would like to request my standard view/2 bdrm be on the right side of the building (if I am facing it).
