    How important is rope drop?

We never RD EMH, in fact plan our days around EMH so as to hit a park for RD at regular 9am opening, as I can agree getting up before 7am to make 8am EMH RD is no fun for anyone! And in contrast to our other vacations we never seemed to have a problem getting anyone including young, old and...

    How important is rope drop?

Also length of trip plus interest in riding a popular attraction multiple times (especially on same day) can also make RD much more important then longer stays of 7 days or more with multiple visits to same park. For example a trip under 5 days with perhaps only 1-2 days in MK and wanting to...

Is it possible and has anyone ever rented out a Disney theme park for a day or night

I always wondering how I would feel (or others who have experienced this) if had paid for and planned a WDW trips months in advance only to see a park (or portion of it) closed during regular hours for one of these events, likely not to happy I suppose along with many other regular park visitors.

So how is Test Track at rope drop these days?

In early June we were at the EPCOT main gate by 820a for a scheduled 900a opening with aim to RD TT followed by FP for Soarin. They actually starting let people past the gate at 830a with CMs "walking" groups towards TT and Soarin. We were stopped and held under Innovations until 845a then...

Is there an official WDW refurb calendar online somewhere?

On the official WDW website, I believe not, but plenty of other sites keep track of them. However, do so sure any sources are really that helpful as keep in mind that WDW never provides an exact "promised" date for any of their refurb, and very common for attraction to reopen early or be...

    which park days?

In selecting FP+ did you choose FEA regardless of time offerred, then go in and edit thaat selection by looking for the time you preferred? With initial FL+ selection you will not see all the available times so choose whatever is offered then change.

Park exit strategies - what is the fastest way out?

Oh and our strategy at least at MK is to be positioned closer to the exit and away from the hub in order to be in front of the crowd leaving MK after final fireworks (which you can see clearly from standing right in middle of main street)

Park exit strategies - what is the fastest way out?

In my experience WDW does a pretty good job getting number of buses needed to a park at closing to manage the respective size of crowds at each resort stop. Interesting as when it comes to time waiting for a bus the longest waits tend to be off season when crowds are smaller and fewer buses are...

Mine Train FP+ - 30 days out worth getting up at 4am? Help please :)

If access to FL opens at 12 midnight, would that not be 9pm on the west coast? (I was actually in San Fran when our 60 day FP window opened which was 9pm PST).

    Can someone explain Rope Drop?

In June at Epcot for a 9am scheduled opening were got to the main gates by 820am, soon after they opened and allowed the crowd into the center part of the park, CMs held us there until about 845am, so we actually entered TT just before 9am (same happened for group heading to Soarin). So always...

    Crowd 08/01/2016 - 08/04/2016

start checking key wait times for major attractions (7DMR, PP, SM, TT, Soarin, TSM) at different days/times in the coming weeks and that should give you an idea of trends and typical summer crowd levels. Personally I would plan for and expect 8+ with most popular rides 60 min+ soon after parks...

    Early/Late Magic hours- Crowd question

We have 16+ trips to WDW/DL and was last at WDW in early June, and we never get PHs and always avoid morning EMH parks, mostly because getting up for 7am or 8am RD is not our idea of fun while on vacation. Now we can make a regular park opeingin of 9am RP by 815-830a no problem so that is our...

    Coolers in the parks

They are not permitted and I am guessing that for every one that you see that managed to get into the park there are dozens that do not - so you are taking the risk of going to all the effort and cost to prepare and bring food in a cooler only to have the hassle and delay if refused at the gate...

    Pokemon GO In the Parks?

Also getting pretty miserable for much of the US this week as well, with central and eastern parts of the country getting into 100F humidex levels.

Touring plan for 1 day in EPCOT

"Maybe Mission Space if someone can she some light into what the Green experience is like" You are closed in but not the "spinning" as experienced on Orange, and I doubt you need a FP for it as ride appears to still "concern" many park visitors who avoid it entirely, due to its reputation -...

Touring plan for 1 day in EPCOT

Keep checking on occasion for the wait times for Soarin and TT, but my advice would be to RD TT (be at gate 45 minutes before scheduled opening time), followed by FP for Soarin. Perhaps the additional screen is helping with lines at Soarin, but even with that during even moderate crowd levels...

    Pokemon GO In the Parks?

Actually fad will die down as soon as the weather becomes less conducive for outdoor entertainment - great weather across the US right now in middle of summer, but by fall and winter not so great for many people and locations, just like the beach, parks and golf, once weather changes so will...

Is October a good time to go?

Generally speaking yes October is a good time, but keep in mind October has seen growth in crowds in recent years with Free Dining (if offered), MNSSHP, Epcot Food & Wine, plus many schools now taking a mid October break week so it may be a little more busy then you would think. Personally I...

Why are crowds lower this summer?

And yet in early June we found crowds were 8+ as predicted by various crowd calendars - so price and construction were not an impact then when without FP or long waits by mid day you were looking at 60 min+ for the most popular attractions in the WDW parks.

Why are crowds lower this summer?

My mistake as did not intend to compare WDW counter or sit down prices with other non-WDW locations as clearly WDW is more expensive, just wanted to point out that any vacation when you are paying for meals there is a higher cost then eating at home or in your room with food you buy to prepare...
