Is Super Bowl Sunday crowded at Disneyland?

If an LA team was playing t Yeah, I think it also may depend on the teams playing. If one of the LA teams (Rams or Chargers) were in the Super Bowl that could definitely have an effect on crowds.

DLR trip reports haven't been glowing... worth considering switch to Universal Hollywood?

I would keep you current plans for DLR. There have been some positive trips out there, and you haven't seen Galway's Edge of the Marvel attractions That being said, I also think people are being WAY too harsh on USH. It's not a county fair, lol. True, the two aren't really comparable, but they...

New Adventures with Princess Tiana Coming to DL and WDW

The thing, Disney is a corporation & they’ll do whatever they feel best protects their brand. This isn’t the first time they’ve done this (Pirates- The auctioning of women & the pirates chasing women in the village). I think their words were “outdated depictions”... Im sure if there were a more...

Splash Mountain Will Change to Princess and the Frog--WILL OPEN 7/11 as Splash

Ultimately, I believe the ride itself won’t change...song the “thrills” of the log flume will still be exactly the same. There is going to be backlash. There was when Pirates changed some elements, so you have Disney purist who’ll be upset. Some will boycott Disney, flood them with complaints...

New ‘Magic Happens’ Parade to Premiere on Feb. 28, 2020 at Disneyland Park

Lol, I was actually going to reply that each of the last lyrics were from the films featured in the parade!!

New ‘Magic Happens’ Parade to Premiere on Feb. 28, 2020 at Disneyland Park

"Just a little faith & trust, with a little pixie dust, your wildest dreams can be yours. Believing is enough, mix it with the magic stuff and love is an open door. And you can make impossible a possibility, just find star to wish upon, magic things are happening you'll see..if you just, if you...

Your thoughts/opinions on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Rail (MMRR)

I agree with some of the things you've said....but I still stand by my point that as the bar for people to be "blown away, many times depends on their expectations as well as their knowledge of any the attraction. The fact that we're all posters here on a Disney them park board probably...

Your thoughts/opinions on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Rail (MMRR)

While I haven't experienced the attraction yet (DLR here, lol). I think one of the issues simply may be that we, as a society, are now exposed to so much in terms of technical advancements, that as a whole, our view of what can "blow everyone away" has changed. When Star Tours was first...

Talked husband into split staying DL/DCA and Universal...please help with MUST sees!

While this most likely be covered by a tour, I'll just toss out some random ideas, that I think haven't been mentioned yet.! Some of them might be a little random, lol, but they are options, haha! LA sites: 1.Beverly Hills (if simply for window shopping & photo opps) 2.Malibu (this would...

Spider-Man MCU split. Impact on Marvel Land?

There isn't a specific film in preproduction right now, so I'm pretty sure we'll see an agreement before the next film hits the development stages. As someone mentioned this is early on & unfortunately the media goes for the more dramatic version of the story. Yes talks have stopped & the...

Spiderman meets in the parks and DCL?

I agree. The positive is that there isn't / wasn't a film in immediate preproduction, so there's plenty of time to hash things out which is far more likely to happen than both sides leaving things as they are. Spidey is a large part of the MCU & both sides benefit from having the characters in...

Rant Alert: So disappointed to see the "new" Mickey in Mickey's Mix Magic

While it isn't my all time favorite, I don't think it's bad at all. I actually appreciate the fact that they tried something "new". As it's been mentioned before, people seem to have a good time & the vibe is higher energy, which I actually like. Not every show is a going to be a home run, but...

No more River Belle Terrace breakfast?

It seems that the Princess & The Frog could have a sit down or counter service eatery. It certainly fits in the New Orleans theme.

How does Smuggler's Run rank in the lineup of Disney E-Ticket greatness?

I feel like after RotR opens, it's possible that the ratings & feelings for Smugglers Run may change. Right now it's the only ride in Galaxy's Edge, so there's a bit more pressure for it to deliver home runs across the board. We all know RotR is supposed to be one of the longest & most...

Things to do in the LA area on non-DLR days?

I second the Peter Automotive museum & LACMA if you go to the La Brea Tar Pits. They are all virtually in walking distance of each other. (Then The Grove & Farmers Market is 5 minutes away, as is Beverly Hills). Since you're doing the Getty, you're already on the westside, so you could go to...

How is SWGE for the original SW movies fan?

I feel like they were in a "no win" situation when they decided to go with the narrative of creating an actual land. Carsland at DCA & Hogwarts at Universe changed the IP driven land. It wasn't just an open space where a collection of rides & attractions existed.....the land itself was now a...

Mickey’s PhilharMagic Premiering in April at Disney California Adventure Park

I'm just glad that this show is finally at the DLR. I enjoyed it, I wouldn't say it's a "must do", but I also won't go out of my way to skip it. It's quick & one of the (few) attractions that feature the Fab 5.

Main Street Cinema Now A Store

I agree. I'm not opposed to merchandise in there, but that set up (with the tables) didn't mesh with the space. It came across as a quick fix.... Any fixtures there should organically fix with the space & the merchandise should be items you can't get in the other Mean Street stores. If it were...

    Tale of the Lion King???

I liked it as well. It's an abridged version of the movie, but it is entertaining & the performers are great. Plus I'm always onboard for any new additions to the park. The show runs about 20 minutes, so it's not a huge time commitment & a nice break if you grab a snack or something to eat.
