First time to the Darkside - Advice for Presidents' Week 2015?

Yes, I remembered there would be an extra charge but it's a small price to pay for the FOTL. Thanks for clearing up when we could be added to the room!

First time to the Darkside - Advice for Presidents' Week 2015?

Yikes! Mardi Gras and Presidents Week combined. I may rethink this trip.

First time to the Darkside - Advice for Presidents' Week 2015?

Well, not actively avoid, but we don't have much interest in the other rides and if it's busy we'd rather spend the time waiting in HP areas than in other parts of the park. Another option we've been considering is two days at Cabana Beach for EE then maybe one day at a deluxe to take...

First time to the Darkside - Advice for Presidents' Week 2015?

Hi Everyone, We just booked flights to visit my MIL in Hilton Head, SC this coming February school break and, while I like my MIL well enough, I realize I don't want to spend a whole week there watching the seagulls with her. :rolleyes1 DH and I started looking for a quick side trip to break...

Off Site visit to Disney, why bother?

We were at MK last Friday and there were no long FP lines, many rides were walk-ons and even "slow loading" rides like Jungle Cruise had regular Fast Passes available with a 30 min wait time at 3 pm. Calm down, everyone...

AKL LITE unofficial FAQ thread#10 - I believe that's known as a 'Jambo Dozen'

I bet that would work -- one in the door cubby (open and upright) and one (unopened) on it's side in the main part. Have a great trip!

AKL LITE unofficial FAQ thread#10 - I believe that's known as a 'Jambo Dozen'

Fridge in a standard room, not villa or studio, right? It's a "dorm room" size with a rack for a 6 pack and a cubby for bottles on the inside of the door, main part divided with a wire rack shelf. Hmm, I'm not sure it will hold a gallon -- certainly not in the door next to the rack -- though...

    Here now..AKL!

I was wondering about this as well. We'd like to split our next stay between AKL and another deluxe or mod but we won't likely have a car to move ourselves. Does anyone know if there is Disney transport between lodgings for this?

The NEW Boo to you! MNSSHP official thread 2013

You will need the hard tickets, the bands are not enough for the party entrance. As for the treat trails, we got tons on the SM to Circus trail on Sunday and it wasn't busy at all. In fact, if it weren't for that trail, we'd have left with half empty bags as we seemed to get only a few...

    Here now..AKL!

Great tips, thanks! I can see why they have names printed on them if possible -- I'll bet every other little girl has a pink one too :) It seems like they either work flawlessly or fail spectacularly ...

    Here now..AKL!

That's so nice! What issues have you had with the bands? (Ours are lined up ready for our carry on bags tomorrow morning -- hope they're bug-free...)

    Help me decide

I think so, that's what we have booked. Unless you're staying in your room for a good part of the day, the view is not as important. There are lots of viewing areas to see the animals without having them right outside your balcony window.

    Here now..AKL!

Sounds like you're having a great time there! We check in on Thursday night too. Have you done any of the resort activities? We're wondering what they're offering this week...

AKL LITE unofficial FAQ thread#10 - I believe that's known as a 'Jambo Dozen'

::waves:: Hi! We're getting in at 6pm that day and are staying at AKL for the first time too. Hopefully we'll catch the bus right before yours. From what I've been reading on the forums, it seems to take about an hour from MCO to AKL. See you there :)

Exactly! Our DD is 7 so a Party is a Big Deal -- especially at Disney!

The NEW Boo to you! MNSSHP official thread 2013

We're going for a long weekend so we compared 3 days or 2 days + Party -- and 2+MNSSHP ended up being cheaper. We're staying at AKL, so a resort day with late morning wake-up then party didn't seem like a bad trade-off instead of another full day at a park.

The NEW Boo to you! MNSSHP official thread 2013

It actually worked out $50 cheaper for us to attend MNSSHP than to buy an extra day on our park tickets. We get to see the special parades and fireworks and my daughter gets to dress in costume and trick or treat with a big crowd, at night, with special decorations -- something she doesn't get...

    American Girl advice

Actually that's not quite true. AG doesn't normally promote sales on dolls but last year, around christmas, I got a heads-up on AGPT about an offer on the Today Show for 2 dolls plus their accessories for $50 each. I bought them with a special link to the AG site. This deal was very unusual...
