Which park is best for a rainy day?

This day is giving me fits too with the rain prediction, we are going to HS that day becuase we have an ADR, but I will be so sad if we can't enjoy the Osborne Lights becuase of rain.

Please describe how to rope drop A&E

Is it really horrible every morning? Both of our MK days are party days and it is the recommended park. I was hoping a slower day would help with the rope drop rush. I'm not sure which day we are doing it yet- either a Sunday or Friday. It would have been so nice to get those darn Fastpasses...

Please describe how to rope drop A&E

Bumping this as I have the same exact questions. Also- if the husband runs to ditch the stroller can he meet up with the rest of us in line?

    Anna & Elsa short notice

True, but there are lots of us who stayed up to midnight and obsessively trying several times a day and are still unable to get a single fastpass. I will do standby if needed, but I am a major planner and had all my ducks in a row, and have come up with nothing. We can do standby, but it is so...

    MVMCP a must do?

Thanks again all- as fun as the party sounds, I don't think it is a necessity for our trip this year. We'll save it until the kiddos are a bit older. :) This is exactly what I am planning to do! I think it will be a fun night and we will still get the Christmas spirit.

    MVMCP a must do?

Thanks for the input! It is hard, as much as I want to do it, I worry if we try to stay up late, my kids will take two days to catch back up. But- if we do it and leave early, not sure we'll get our money's worth.

    MVMCP a must do?

We are going the week before Thanksgiving, and so far my plan is MK, HS, AK, EP, off day, MK. On our off day (Thursday) I was planning to do the MVMCP. Both of our MK days are party days, so we will be out of the parks by 7 and missing any nighttime entertainment. I hear the party is great...

I am going to cancel a 7:50 AM ADR at 'Ohana on 11/16 for 6.

    O'hana breakfast before rope drop

Thanks! And how annoying am I to spell 'Ohana wrong, ugh. Clearly a newbie. I'd rather hit rope drop than have that meal. Am I missing anything terrible if we don't eat at 'Ohana then? We are saying offsite as it was much more reasonable for a party of 6. I'm only doing a few table...

    O'hana breakfast before rope drop

What are the odds of us making rope drop at MK after a 7:50 AM ADR at O'hana? I hear they run behind, but I was wondering if we would be OK that early in the AM. It is our first day at Disney, and I thought it would be a fun way to start, but we definitely want to his rope drop.

A&E Stampede this morning was insane!!!

Just reading this craziness. I really hope things will improve by November, but if not do I have any chance of a FP+ if we are staying offsite? I have already talked to my 4 year old about not meeting A&E and her eyes tear up at the thought. They are probably the only characters she cares...

If you move from on site to off site do you lose ADRs?

Hi all- my family is currently booked at POR for the week of November 15, but we are also researching staying in a house offsite. We will need ADRs for 6 people- probably planning on several character buffets. My ADR date as it stands is May 19 and I am working on my planning. However- if we...

    Closest houses to Disney?

Thank you all so much- you have given me a lot of places and ideas to research! I admit, I have anxiety about being outside of the "Disney Bubble" as that was what I was planning all along, but we have always loved renting vacation homes in the Outer Banks, and I think this would be a great fit...

    Closest houses to Disney?

My family is currently booked in two rooms at POR for November 2014- but I am now considering staying offsite. There will be 4 adults and two kids- ages 5 and 2 at the time of travel. I am only interested in places that are very close to Disney- and places that are nice. :) I've checked out...

    ***Official November 2014 thread***

Count us in! I haven't booked yet, but we are looking at Nov 15-22 (or 23). We have busy months in Oct/Nov, my daughters 5th birthday, our anniversary, and my son's 3rd birthday- so we have lots to celebrate! Our first family trip- and I am a planner, so I am super excited! Currently...

Elsa Costume ~ Why me :)

I may try that closer to our trip, but it looks like they have pre-designed hairstyles, so I don't know? I have no experience either as this will be my first trip since I was a teenager, but we'll see. Maybe they'll give us some pixie dust... :)

Port Orleans Riverside Q&A Thread 2013, Part Three (NOW CLOSED, see 2014 thread)

Thanks so much! That sounds like a perfect plan. I read somewhere that all of the Mansion buildings have elevators too- is that true? We will likely have a double stroller and my dad may have issues with steps at the end of the day.
