Taking DD12's friend on Disney Cruise and WDW stay

The last few years, my husband & I let his daughter invite a friend, or two, depending on location & cost, on our summer vacations. On trips in driving distance we paid for everything except souvenirs. Last year we flew to WDW & this year we flew to NYC & DC....for those we let her invite...

That was too cute…and despite what you said, some of that stuff looked pretty crafty, creative, and just elaborate enough! Thanks for sharing!

    LA/Disneyland Honeymoon - Ideas needed!

Congrats! How many days do you plan on spending in the LA area? It's been a few years since I've been to a comedy club in LA, but I used to like the Ice House in Pasadena & the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. A couple other iconic places are the Comedy Store in Hollywood & the Hollywood Improv...

    LA areas to stay??

The Marriott downtown LA is within LA Live (Nokia Theatre, Staples Center, Convention Center), I would consider this area safe. Burbank is a really nice area of the San Fernando Valley & is really safe. Warner Bros. & Walt Disney Studios are in Burbank & Universal Studios is very close.

    Ronald Reagan Museum

Santa Maria is way up the coast. Santa Barbara & Solvang are fun. They both have unique shops, restaurants, wineries. Solvang also has an Ostrich farm & a miniature horse farm to visit.

    Ronald Reagan Museum

Where are you staying & what do you want to see? There is not much else to do in Simi Valley other than the Reagan library. 30-45 min North is the Camarillo outlets & then Ventura Harbor. 30-45 min South is Universal Studios & then Hollywood.

Went to Walt Disney Studios for Saving Mr. Banks screening

Thanks! It was open to anyone, someone here posted the link, I think from the Disney Parks Blog. They had one screening a night for like five or six days in a row mid December. You were able to choose which seats to reserve in the theatre & once it was full it was sold out.

Went to Walt Disney Studios for Saving Mr. Banks screening

I was able to see Saving Mr. Banks at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, Ca thanks to someone posting the info on these boards. I was so excited to be able to go since the Walt Disney Studios is rarely, if ever, open to the public and I've always wondered what was inside those wrought iron...
