Many times we've seen passengers who've missed the ship be transported out to the departing cruise ship by small power boats. It pretty much only can happen if the ship has just pulled away from the dock and starting to pull out. I'd hate to think how much it costs! It is GREAT...

I completely agree! I've never used pool floaties with my kids for that very reason. Even in kiddie pools where they can easily touch, I am very close by and watching.
