Cutting Food Costs: When we have a full kitchen available, we have a big breakfast and usually take in drinks and snacks. One of the easiest ways to save at QS is to bring in your own drinks (we don't drink Florida water). Instead of paying for a locker you might want to consider bringing a few...
I read about a recent survey regarding this issue, and we really try to avoid paying a resort fee when we travel, I would wonder how other repeat WDW customers would deal with paying for things they already get for free (like internet and parking) Just wondering how the Diz budget experts would...
Friday Night Pizza Take-Out: $41.25

Sunday: Took DH out to "date" breakfast:$26.00 made Sunday Supper(Costco-pork loin, potatoes, carrots): $35.00
Total: $151.25

We usually have a bargain movie either on Tuesdays or the 1st showing for each movie(before noon), like Star Wars, which we HAD to see in the theatre, that was $5.50 (but we spent $33.00 at concession stand-yikes!-everyone loves that movie popcorn!) I think the nighttime movies are $12.50...
Best January 2016: Trattoria al Forno, everything here was delicious, app, entree and especially desserts and press pot of coffee! Fabulous
Worst Ever: Biergarten, yuck! (Liked the show-but not enough to make up for yucky, cafeteria food-much worst than any other WDW buffet we have been to)
I did notice this at HS, the online menu for ABC commissary still states (on allears) they have fried fish and chicken nuggets, however when we were there on the 22nd, they didn't have any of these items.
We loved Ohana, our first family trip in 2004, had a wonderful experience, service was awesome. We had a similar experience as OP at another buffet, this year (we have been skipping Ohana due to the bad reviews) and I really feel the guaranteed 18% gratuity has had an effect (bad one) on...
We spent the next day at the Luna Pool, it is a great pool and awesome slide! Had a few Mickey Bars. We had sandwiches at the villa for lunch and for dinner we had a fantastic meal at Trattatorio al Forno. We split a flatbread for an appetizer, it was good, rosemary, potato one and the bread and...
We had a few favorites and a few new favorites and a few misses, but all par the course for WDW... We had an excellent snack when we arrived at the Boardwalk Pizza window and Boardwalk to Go and Boardwalk Bakery. It is a trip staple to get pizza, fries and cheesecake brownie on arrival day, as...
Thanks for the tips, BWV is not our home resort, we have the requests down pat at our home resort and have had great room assignments, hoping for the best!
I know requests, are just requests, but does anyone have any tips for best chances of getting your requests met? Do you fax the BWV?? Any tips will be appreciated,TIA!
The resort, CBBR, --did not tell me anything, when I called GG--only said they do not deliver there anymore.I was figuring I would ask some of the Universal experts out there in Dis land if they might know what was up?
Have you thought about Legoland? We have friends who went last year and I believe she found coupons in a Lego magazine, free kid admission with an adult? You might want to check out YouTube videos of all the places you are considering and see what you think. Have a great trip!
Over the years, we have done less and less TS, our last trip I think I did 1. The fact that you now get charged $10pp, If your plane is late etc.... means I don't feel comfortable making them unless I know I have ample time to cancel. (and I always called to cancel in the past, if we couldn't...
We like the ambiance of Sci-Fi and didn't mind the whimsical joking at Prime Time, but you could always have lunch at one and dinner at the other? Or lunch at Prime Time and snack/dessert at Sci-Fi. If I had to choose between the 2 my choice would be Sci-Fi.
We actually just rebooked our hotel, and changed our travel dates, because our airfare was $1400. more than we were willing to pay :( I am horrified at how much our school vacation airfare is!..... We generally have always booked right when flights are released and have only needed to get a...
We too, don't use the Dining Plan, we used it once, but it is no longer a good deal for our family. We buy discounted WDW gift cards via the Target Redcard. We get water snacks/food delivered from Garden grocer-we are big water drinkers and don't drink Florida water (yuck), the savings on one...
I have also seen those cards for purchase and they are clearly marked for use at Disney Store or DisneyStore.com, we have never had any problems using Disney Gift cards at the theme parks, resorts, etc
