I can only provide a suggestion based on personal experience of mine and others that I know have traveled to Hawaii and have had no issues with Airbnb and VRBO.

    Aulani + Airbnb w/ 5 yo & infant

I rented a house through VRBO in Ewa Beach last year and loved it! It was like living with the locals. We are also renting a condo for our next trip in June at the resort next to Aulani. You would be fine with most rentals and just make sure you read the reviews. Depending on your budget...

    Pizzafari Family Dining Style

I was very excited about this as well because we eat here every time we go anyway. So when I read about it yesterday morning, I immediately went online to make a reservation. It let me choose a time, but wouldn't do anything after that so I called and have a reservation on 8/5. YAY!!

    New room categories for 2019

My understanding is that the 5th sleeper will guarantee guests a room with the pull down bed, where the standard rooms may have it but it is not guaranteed. You just pay slightly more for the guarantee of the pull down bed.

Where would you pick for a romantic birthday weekend...

BWI is all about location, so if that's the most important part for you, then I would choose that. If you want a relaxing time, I would go with AKL. Either are excellent choices!

Chances of additional Free Dining Rooms Opening Up

A lot of people and TA's put the rooms on a 3-day hold while they or their clients decide so some of those will come back open. Keep checking!

How many nights in Waikiki pre Aulani?

We usually choose one place to stay then drive to where we want to go on the island. That way we don't need to worry about checking in and checking out more than once. We typically rent a house on VRBO which is so much cheaper than a hotel, but next year we are staying in Ko Olina Beach Villas...

    Aulani deals and local deals?

For souvenirs, if you have a car, go the swap meet at the Aloha Stadium. The prices are insanely cheap (5 t shirts for $20 as one example). If you are purchasing any food items at a grocery store, go to Safeway and get their discount card. You don't need to register it, but can still use the...

    Hawaii Newbie--Help with Itinerary

It really depends on how you want this vacation to flow and what is the most important to you. The Ko Olina area has several restaurants within walking distance of Aulani (Mexican, pizza, etc.) along with the restaurants at the resort. As for the itinerary, there are tours you can book...

    Sofa beds at AoA

We bring a blow up air mattress with us everywhere we travel including Disney because my boys won't sleep in the same bed. We have never let Disney know and have not had any issues. In fact, I think it's common practice for people to bring them. We do prop it along the wall before we leave...

    Pop or CSR

I had that same decision and to be honest, even with the construction at CSR, the covered bus stops, larger pool and restaurants won and I booked CSR.

Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

I have two rooms booked at CSR in early Aug and would like to add one more room or a Junior Suite. However, when I run it for my dates ( 8/2-8/6), there are no rooms of any kind available. I know that the Junior Suites are in Casitas 1, 2 and 3 and Casitas 2 is still being refurbished, but I...

Can anyone please tell me about Tom Sawyers Island?

Tom Sawyer Island is such a nice break from the crowds in MK. The last time I was there with my boys, we spent time on the island, then as we were getting ready to board the raft, it started to rain. They don't run the rafts in the rain so my son and his dad played checkers for a bit. He...

Anyone go from WDW resort to a house rental?

http://wdwnt.com/blog/2017/10/disney-world-extend-60-day-advance-fastpass-booking-guests-select-non-disney-hotels/ The details about which hotels have not been announced yet, but the expectation is that it will include hotels in the Disney Springs area and good neighbor hotels.
