Going on attractions before park 'officially' opens?

Why would you be deep into Adventureland for BTMR? That's in Frontierland. And the rest are in Fantasyland. I'm confused.

    Question about alternate entrance?

At Splash, the wheelchair pullout is near the stairs where you go inside - so if you don't want to wait in the standby queue up to that point (and that can be a long wait) you'd need to book FP.

How do you ladies carry your smartphones in the parks?

But how do you get access to it - unbutton your blouse? Pull down the neck of your shirt? Have it all hanging out? Reaching into a bra to get anything is considered very tacky around here - I'd never even think of doing that all day long!

How bad does cheer competition make parks in early May?

Very hard to just switch parks with FP+, unless you want to not use your fastpasses for the park you are in, and wait at the other park until the times have gone by so you can try to get same day ones.

How bad does cheer competition make parks in early May?

They don't compete every day, so they are in the parks on their off days. How can cheerleading going on at the resort make you dehydrated? Or was that a separate issue? No, it's a common sense rule - and enforced by Disney - and teams have been sent home early for that nonsense. (Or it has...

How do you ladies carry your smartphones in the parks?

I like Vera Bradley products - but what do you do when it rains? Those bags are not waterproof, in fact they seem quite the opposite to me. They get damp and stay damp very easily. And they get lumpy if you try to clean them.

    Give Kids the World Village

I never thought of it as an amusement park, as it has bungalows for the children and families to stay in, etc. More of a resort, and why did you think it was abandoned? It's funded quite nicely (for now, hopefully people will keep donating to keep it going, as it does not run on public funds...

Parkinson's disease and booking a trip: please give me your experiences!

How are you planning on dealing with the mobility and stamina issues outside of the queues? There are miles of walking outside of the attractions - the queues are the least of it. I would get him a wheelchair. They are easier to maneuver in the queues, easier to get on the buses, and it saves...

    Putting your feet up

How far up? To reduce swelling the region has to be elevated quite high, possibly at heart level, etc. The only place to do that is at First Aid or back in your hotel room. Definitely not appropriate to do that on an attraction or in a restaurant.

    waiting in line question

Some are a lot more reputable than others, have better quality ECVs, etc. They don't all carry the same style ECVs either. It's always better to reserve early.

I need to vent about ECV's not a regular rant.

Well, yes, while you are moving you should be careful. But don't feel responsible if someone walks into the ECV when it is not moving. There's little damage to someone walking into a nonmoving object. A lot of damage can occur when a moving object hits a person.

How do you ladies carry your smartphones in the parks?

I've got one of the drawstring Disney bags that has the outside velcro cellphone pocket. Very easy to access the phone. Can you dump the diaper backpack and bring supplies in a smaller bag with a cellphone pocket?

Can you bring food or drinks into the world showcase short films?

You can't eat or drink in the theaters, but you can carry your food/drink in closed containers. Just put them in bags for the duration (10-15 minutes, I think?)

Changes to the Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom

Then they changed it from August - we only had to play at some point from the new pack to the next new pack.

    Kali River Rapids refurb extended

It starts off as a quiet ride through the rainforest, beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Then you get to the deforestation part - hot, smelly, burning, the water starts to get rough. Then it builds to the drop, a bit more rough water afterwards, the squirty elephants at the bridge, and it ends.

My experience & recommendations as a Non wheelchair using physically disabled guest

I understand the desire to stay out of a wheelchair - but why punish the rest of the family by limiting what they can do because of it? Don't you think they worry about you hobbling around, etc? Or did they go to the parks/stay in the parks without you? BTW, a DAS doesn't diminish the amount...

    Kali River Rapids refurb extended

Wow, you really hate AK, don't you? May I suggest going to Universal? Or Busch Gardens? Not every attraction at WDW is built for 'excitement' - and for that I think they are brilliant. WDW has something for almost everyone, and every type of group, family, etc. Oh, and heaven forbid anyone...

Changes to the Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom

In order to get new cards each day, you have to play one scene beforehand - not that very day, but sometime after you get a new pack of cards. We would get cards our first day, play a portal or two, then get new cards the next day, play a portal, etc.

How did they get this dog into the MK?

There are questions you can ask, legally. If the Marriott has directed you not to ask, that's different. Right now, by law, the only animals that have service animal accessibility are trained dogs and miniature horses. By classification, no other animal is considered a service animal. Many...

    Kali River Rapids refurb extended

We get it, we get it, you don't like to get wet. But you are not everybody, not even close - and you don't represent even the older generation either. Plenty of older people like to get soaked on that ride, my mom and me included. Luckily, WDW doesn't just cater to one type of person. Well...
