I propose standard view Beach Club Villa's...

This thread is actually making me chuckle :goodvibes We always requested upper floor Epcot view at BCV, the rooms that the OP is saying they don't want, and we had trouble getting one all the time. That is the reason we sold, we could never get our room requests met, other than non smoking...

My partner, who is black, suggested to me that the gay marriage issue is being driven by the black vote. Although blacks are mostly democrat, they are also conservative.

    For DVC members...

Chuck S explained it for ya' before I could. :goodvibes BCV was and still is our favorite place, but our room location and the ability to make requests was a very important part of our DVC experience. We might buy back in at some point, but it will probably be the new BLT at the Contemporary or...

    For DVC members...

DVC is a great deal if you go there allot. We had 300 points, a 100 & 200 point contract at BCV for a few years. That was enough to stay in a one bedroom twice a year, in June for Gay Days and in October for the Food & Wine Festival. We sold our points a few years ago when the DVC check in...

    Random Question...

I vote the Audi A6! We've done that and it's a very nice car. We've also done the Jag but the A6 beats it hands down. We always visit my mother in Venice Beach, a 2+ hour or so drive from Disney and usually rent a nice car so we're comfortable there and back.

Does owning DVC really save money?

Although we sold our DVC for other reasons, when we add it all up we stayed for free while we owned it. The profit we made when we sold our 300 pt. at BCV more than covered the maintenance expenses over the years. We did tend to spend allot while we were there, especially at the Epcot F&WF. Some...

    BCV Question

Glad I'm not the only one...

Why did you sell your DVC?

I voted "didn't like" but that was only after the "room ready" policy started being used at BCV. I like everything else about DVC and may buy at another resort in the future. We always flew in after 2pm and didn't get to the resort until after 3pm. Before "room ready" we never had a problem...

    Internet Access options ?

My phone's not 3G so a cellular card would be faster. :thumbsup2 Our plan is some kind of family share thing, I don't know the specifics, but we'd probably get a discount on the card for a new activation. I also believe the monthly fee is around $20 for each additional phone or something like...

    Internet Access options ?

I have the "office kit" for my Verizon phone and use it as a cellular modem. The kit was $60 and the service is an additional $5 a month. It's slow... but it works great for mail, directions, or poker. :rolleyes1 A cellular PCMCIA card would be faster and shouldn't cost much more if you want...

    problems at BCV

Thanks for the nice response, maybe one day we can meet up for that beer. :drinking1 I just haven't felt that DVC welcome at the BCV over the last 2 years, I expect more from the staff there. We've only stayed outside of BCV twice, both times at OKW and both were great, so I don't have much...

    problems at BCV

You didn't just ask "a simple question", you said "Not this guy again" bla bla bla... and it's none of your business why I still want to post on this forum. If you don't like it, block my posts or take it up with a mod. Look, I've explained this MANY times. :furious: I understood exactly what...

    problems at BCV

Becuse, I still LOVE Disney, DVC was great the first few years we owned, and will we purchase again if DVC dumps the room ready policy. Just becuse we don't own DVC doesn't mean I can't post here, mind you own business.

    problems at BCV

Yep, the room ready policy the way it's used at BCV is unfair. BCV could care less about your requests since the room ready policy has been in effect, that's why we sold our BCV.

    internet access

The cost is $10 for a 24 hour period. You can connect as many times as you want in that 24 hrs. The next day, after your 24 hr period expires you have to do it again for the next 24 hrs.

    internet access

The D-Link DWL is only about 3.5" square +power cord, not much luggage space needed. It was a great idea since we both brought our laptops.

    internet access

Last time we were at BCV we both brought our laptops, I also brought a D-Link DWL-800AP+ wireless access point to see if it would work. I connected one laptop to the wired access and signed up for the 24hrs. You can switch the wire between multiple laptops if you want, since you paid for access...

    Room Ready System!!!!!!

People must think I'm a picky son of a gun, I'm really not. I always requested N/S, upper floor, Epcot view at BCV. Three simple requests, and I KNOW THEY ARE JUST REQUESTS. I also have to state for the record that I have NOT been complaining about not having ALL 3 of my requests met, nor did I...
