    October GTY watch

Just checked in on our 7A gty for the Wonder on October 12th - we moved all the way up to a 5A! #7544 - thrilled!

    Crusing with a 15month old

My wife and I are in the same circumstance as you - experienced cruisers, but this October will be our first time with our 17 MO son. One thing to consider is the time change, if any - I don't know where you live, OP, but account for the time difference. We live in AZ and just were in...

    Disney Wonder

Agreed - I'm new to these boards and to DCL as well, and this helped for me. Another good technique is to use the search feature. If there's something you're interested in, go to the advanced search, choose "show titles only" (you get more accurate results this way) and you'll be able to...

Why DCL is worth the price, to me

Never been on NCL, so I'm curious - what I've heard is that if you're going on NCL, you need to budget for the specialty restaurants. A lot of reviews say that all the specialty places are good, but then you end up paying each time. Did you try many of the other restaurants, or stick to the...

    Need some advice - Alaska

I've been to both Vancouver and Seattle, and if you're looking to enjoy some time in one of the cities, I'd recommend Seattle. My DW and I loved it - spent two days pre-cruise and two days post cruise when we did our Alaska honeymoon. Of course, make sure to leave yourself plenty of time to...

    Things to do in Nassau?

I just sent an email to the hotel about this asking how their day passes work - I'll come back on here and let you know once I get an answer.

First time on Disney, first time with 18mo LO - questions and advice, please!

Thanks, Rich! Wonderful advice - unfortunately we're two weeks after your family on October 12th. Hope you have a wonderful trip! We'll definitely check out the morning dance parties, I'm sure DS will enjoy that.

First time on Disney, first time with 18mo LO - questions and advice, please!

What about bringing a small blowup pool near the Splash Zone? I know my DS will see the pool and want to get in. We were at a friend's house last week and he cried until we got his swimsuit on and took him in!

First time on Disney, first time with 18mo LO - questions and advice, please!

Not too worried, I'm used to cruise ships having a very limited beer selection. Just means we'll have to carry on some beer or get some while in Key West. I think the only cruise line with a really good beer selection is Celebrity, from what I've heard.

First time on Disney, first time with 18mo LO - questions and advice, please!

Agreed - thanks! It sounds like DCL does a nice job pairing young families together, which is important since I'd hate for DS to ruin anyone's dinner, even though he's usually a pretty good eater who takes his time.

First time on Disney, first time with 18mo LO - questions and advice, please!

Brand new to these boards, migrated here from Cruise Critic after discovering that all the conversation for DCL seems to be here and not there! My DW and I are experienced cruisers, having been on Carnival/HAL/RCCL in recent years, but are new to Disney. Decided to give it a try now that our...
